With new data about rising rates of HIV among youth, it's time for public health to focus on our most vulnerable resource, children. Let's ensure that no child's life is ever put at risk with one phone call from school.
AIDS is still here. It still kills. It is no fun to live with it, and you don't want it. It is not a way off the streets, and it's not worth one night of really hot bareback sex because condoms turn him off. There's not one bit of sex with anyone that's worth the lifetime of complexity that is AIDS.
My generation is the first to never know a world without HIV and AIDS. But we will be the generation that will help the world believe in and achieve a future where this epidemic is only a memory.
