Tamar Wallace is associate director at The Jay Monahan Center for Gastrointestinal Health at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Tamar specializes in health and medical writing, editing, and education for health professionals, patients and families, and the public. She is the former managing editor of the American Cancer Society’s medical journal, Cancer Practice and current co-chair of the evidence-based education & outreach committee for the National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable. Tamar is an avid supporter of Stand Up To Cancer, a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation that funds "Dream Teams" of researchers from different institutions in order to get new therapies to patients quickly and save lives now. The American Association for Cancer Research is SU2C's scientific collaborator and to date, 355 scientists from 55 institutions are involved in Stand Up To Cancer-funded research projects
