Tara de Nicolas began working at the Washington Humane Society (WHS) in 2006 as the Director of Marketing and Communications. After three years in the position while working to establish and manage the Fashion for Paws Runway Show in her spare time, in October of 2009 she officially moved into a newly created position as the Executive Director of Fashion for Paws, an innovative luxury lifestyle brand marketing and fundraising program to benefit WHS. Since 2007 Fashion for Paws has raised more than $2.2 million dollars for WHS. Tara holds a B.A. in Anthropology and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in business leadership from the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business graduating in spring of 2013. In October of 2010 Tara was chosen as the featured “Working Woman” in a special ABC-WJLA TV News segment and in March of 2012 BizBash Magazine named Tara one of the “Most Innovative People in Events.”
