Mentorship is an important step in growing into the next level of your life. When you have someone guiding you and holding you accountable towards stepping into your dreams, so much can happen for you. It's important to understand how to step into a mentor relationship.

Here are the top three mistakes women make when choosing a mentor.

1) You think your mentor can fix everything. A lot of people will want the mentor to fix everything and want them to make everything happen. When you start working with a mentor, you need to take responsibilities for your success and your results. This is an opportunity for you to increase your self-worth and self-confidence.

2) You choose a mentor based on the results but not how the results were achieved. Remember to ask the how. How did they achieve this result? How did they do it? Remember the lifestyle they also achieved. Did they get to where they are in a way that is congruent to the truth of where you also want to go?

3) You choose a mentor that feels overly comfortable. Yes, it's important that you choose a mentor that feels good and comfortable but you also want to work with someone that stretches and challenges you and assists you in growing. This also goes for the level of investment. Choosing a mentor that is really easy to afford, you're not stretching. If you're wanting new results this also might require you to grow your level of investment.

Choosing a mentor should feel a little uncomfortable. It should make you a little bit nervous. It should feel a little bit bigger than where you already are!

I want you to step into your mentor relationship that you require so you can have the results you have so been desiring.
