How to Keep Your Promises

I am on the way to the train. I'm going to a fashion show in Paris today. It was a last minute decision, but I wanted to say yes to this opportunity.

Watch Video: How To Keep Your Promises:

I had also made a promise to my team (and myself) to get this video done in time for the newsletter!

I want to take this time to talk about commitments. Honoring them is one of the biggest things we can do for ourselves as women to move closer to our dreams and desires.

It's one thing to say YES to the outside world, and not follow through. It's a completely different thing when you say yes to yourself, and you don't follow through.

Follow through for me has become one of the most important pieces of building self-trust and self-confidence.

What have you recently committed to? Maybe it's following up with a client, or calling a friend, or taking a walk in the morning. It may seem like a small thing, but it's part of moving closer towards your bigger desires.

When you allow yourself to follow through on what you decide to do, you make a deeper promise to yourself. You will find yourself closer to your big dreams. You find yourself trusting yourself even more. It doesn't have to be perfect, by the way. It's the follow through that really matters.

What is the commitment you are going to make and keep for yourself? (It doesn't have to be a big, huge thing, in fact, you may want to start with something small).

I look forward to hearing from you in the comments below.
