There's No Freakin' Way This Mint Chocolate Chip Smoothie Is Healthy... Except It Is

Here's how to make one of my favorite smoothies. It was originally published on my blog taraleighlovesyou.com. It's a mint chocolate chip one and it's awesome. It tastes even better when you make it while rocking out to your favorite music. I got down to a Reba Jam by Phish from Alpine Valley 2010.

This smoothie is not only healthy, but it seriously tastes like mint chocolate chip ice-cream. It's crazy!!!!

Here's what's in it:

Ingredients

1 handful greens (whatever you like...spinach, kale, chard)

1/4 cup pineapple (frozen or fresh)

1/2 avocado

1 capful of organic peppermint extract

Milk (I used unsweetened coconut milk)

5 figs or dates

Optional superfoods (I used chia seeds, spiralina and nori seaweed powder)

Directions

Place everything in the blender and blend while rocking out. If using a Vitamix, start at 1 and move to 10 and then set the gear shift to high and it will go out of control. Then pour it into a glass and enjoy it because it's soooooo good!
