Dennis Hastert was whining today on Rush. Rush went after Brian Ross hard on the show, though you need a subscription to hear the worst of it.
RUSH: And I like what you said yesterday, if I may editorialize this way, when you said, "Look, somebody knew this long before we knew it. Somebody knew about those instant messages," and you asked for an investigation into who knew what when. We know that a couple of newspapers in Florida knew a lot more than they were willing to release, and Brian Ross of ABC admitted that he knew about this all the way back in August but he didn't have time for it then because he was worried about the Katrina anniversary and September 11th and so forth. Is that investigation you've called for going to go anywhere? Who's going to chair that? Who's going to run that?
Did ABC get cold feet because of Rush's heat and decide to help the Republicans out?
It was comment number four on Brian Ross's latest Foley piece. It went like this:
When I was a Congressional Page in 1998, we pages were warned by former pages AS WELL as staffers in the house and page program to BEWARE and stay away from 3 GOP members of Congress due to past history and inappropriate behavior with other pages. Obviously Foley has resigned and we are grateful. Although 2 members of Congress (at least that I know of and was warned of) still remain.Let me say this: it doesnt end with the members of congress; high level staffers are doing the same thing!!

I linked to it. Then one of my readers commented that he'd tried to find the comment. Then he asked me a question: Could it have been scrubbed once ABC realized what they had there, or am I just missing it?
Well, if he's missing it we are all. Poof! It has been scrubbed.
