It's Cliff Schecter types vs. Laura Schwartz types.
There are two types of Democratic strategists and spokespeople in the 2006 elections. Fox "News" shills, and Democrats with real heart and heat. I've been called the "pitbull with lipstick" when doing Republican vs. Democratic face offs, which I've been doing for over ten years, so I know what I'm talking about.
Exhibit A, as you can see at the very top of this post, is Cliff take no Republican prisoners Schecter, who went on MSNBC today and blasted the Republican talking weenie out of his seat. By the time Cliff was through, the man practically had spittle running down his chin.
Exhibit B is Laura I love Rush Schwartz, who went of Fox "News" recently and sold out Air America. If she's on our side we'd be better off with Barbie. At least a doll knows when to keep her trap shut. Her performance was not only a political sell out, but an abject insult to any progressive working hard to make inroads in radio today, myself included. Like Schwartz would know what it's like to sacrifice for the team. I doubt if she ever breaks a nail for the cause, let alone breaks a sweat.
Cliff Schecter vs. Laura Schwartz is no contest. It's the difference between yesterday's Democratic Party and the Democratic activists of today, which includes the progressive blogs and talk show hosts who have no intention of taking any of Karl Rove's crap, let alone parroting the DC insider party line.
