These two white guys are representative of "faith in America"?
This annoys the hell out of me.
Oops, sorry Lord, but I mean really.
You'd think Jesus Christ had been a conservative. I've asked before "what would Jesus do," but it doesn't represent in any way the Republican platform on war, torture, or the poor.
But once again, this time on Christmas Eve morn, Timmy has invited Rick Warren and NBC's godfather of all relics of religiosity, Jon Meacham, to gather together so that the BOYS can all talk from on high about faith.
Not a woman anywhere, which I've come to expect. I've been writing about this for years. Conversations moderated by Timmy about faith and even abortion without a woman anywhere to be found is standard operating booking on "Meet the Men."
But not a liberal anywhere either.
We all know that Russert is a misogynist, but the overbearing blowhards he invites on time and time again to discuss faith are not only an insult to half of this country, it's programming that ignores reality.
Hello, Mr. Russert, come into the 20th century, will you? Since you just don't get it, Jesus was a liberal. He was tolerant. See Mary if you don't believe me.
It also wouldn't hurt for Mr. Russert and NBC to understand that there are WOMEN leading churches all over this country. See the Episcopal church for just one example.
Bah-humbug to "Meet the Men"... er "Press." Russert belongs on Fox.
