Rush Passed his Drug Test!

Obviously worried about Sen. Tom Harkin's direct hit to Rush's drug habits, today at the top of his show the wingnut's P.T. Barnum announced he'd gone in for his monthly screening and passed it.
HAZAAH! Republicans must be so proud. The man they want to commend on the floor of the House has finally, after 18 months on probation for being a druggie, passed his drug test. It defines "family values" in a whole new way. Rush has now taken to reading the names and airing the statements of obscure House members who suck up to the radio veteran smearing chickenhawk, one saying he deserves "mega kudos" for what he's doing on the air.
I wonder when a Republican is going to notice that Rush admitted to doctoring the tape of his show on his "phony soldiers" slur? Anyone?

But earlier this week that's exactly what Rush did, proving not only the Media Matters has been correct all along, but the he's not telling the truth about the incident. After his Nixonian doctoring of the tape, cutting out 1 minute and 35 seconds, Rush said that he doctored the tape because he was "vamping" and waiting for Mr. Snerdly to get a transcript... blah-blah-blah. But he admitted it, make no mistake about it.
Anyone care that Republicans are now doing fundraising off of Rush Limbaugh's "phony soldiers" slur?
But the glaring reality for Rush today was that he wanted to send a message to his audience not to worry, that he wasn't on drugs anymore. Good for him. But this is the guy Republicans want to represent them? Wingnut radio listeners will follow anyone as long as they print out the script. Rush pimped this story on his show today.
No, Sen. Tom Harkin, radio talker Rush Limbaugh isn't back on drugs!So says the state of Florida. And Limbaugh himself, who told Page Two, as he enters his last month on probation for a narcotics arrest, that he doesn't even miss getting high and now feels like a better person.
And a much richer one: According to records, he'll have made an estimated $50 million while on conditional liberty.
"All's well that ends well," he said, contemplating the Oct. 31 finish of his 18-month probation, barring unforeseen trouble. "But I tell myself sometimes: 'I can't believe I did this s---.' "
In a rare interview, Limbaugh - who just this week created a firestorm by calling antiwar service members "phony soldiers," prompting Iowa Democrat Harkin's comment from the floor of the U.S. Senate - says he isn't bitter. Never mind that the justice system forced him to fill out monthly reports on his whereabouts, get tested and attend therapy."The system is what it is," Limbaugh, 56, said from his oceanfront compound in Palm Beach. "I became addicted to drugs because of a medical condition" - a bad back - "and I'm convinced now that most addicts come to a point where they do drugs just to stave off withdrawal.
"The only thing I regret is that, because of legal and business reasons, I haven't been able to tell my story. But I'll ponder how I could start sharing because I've often wanted to." ... ..
Can't wait for the fantasy tale of "All the Days of Rush's Life." Should be a real page turner.
Then, after announcing he'd passed his drug test, Rush took out after Elizabeth Edwards, because she dared to suggest that Rush's advertisers be asked if this is the type of person they support. She ticked Rush off by slapping him around mercilessly last night in a radio interview, saying that the same thing that kept him out of the military should actually also keep him from sitting on his butt all day doing radio. That's when el Rushbo turned and fired, once again using the "Breck Girl" shot, coupled with calling Edwards an "ambulance chaser," going downhill from there. It's always so obvious when Rush receives a direct hit. He falls for the bait every time. Nice going, Mrs. Edwards.
The Republican pied piper of the president, by Rush's own admission, and all of his people has felt the incoming. He's been on the defensive going on nine days now. So much so that today Rush felt compelled to announce I'M OFF DRUGS... I PASSED MY DRUG TEST!
Really, talk about low expectations.
Oh, and one more thing. Why is Rush asking to talk to Sen. Harry Reid, a distinguished gentleman in his sixties and long past his boxing years, while denying the requests of veterans like Brian McGough seen in the video at the top of this post? McGough (and many other veterans) challenged the Republican P.T. Barnum of radio, demanding Rush call him a suicide bomber and "phony soldier" to his face? Rush won't meet with McGough. Why not?

Here is a guy who probably went deaf from using drugs, played the sympathy card, then criticized Michael Fox and others disability makes untruthful and defamatory statements about individuals, is a terrible "family values" role model, never ran for political office, never helped boots on the ground campaign for anyone, never held a government job, never served in the military or any quasi Government Agency but claims to be a great American. Thinking about his devotees scares me to death.
I love it! in the realm of thought and reality, attack the person! Unfortunately, the comment brought up here have all be proven as BS! If the jerk that thought that limbaugh would call Pat Tilman as a phony soldier is either stupid or doesn't understand what a phony soldier is! If you don't have the intelligents to research the facts and just rely on left wing blogs, you will forever be locked into the box of the mind dumb robot. If you think the media is telling you the truth you are an idiot!
Hate to tell you this conman, but Limbaugh is very much a part of the media. He has been proven wrong over what he claims are "facts" so many times that to most concerned and informed folks he is just another reich wing windbag spewing his hatred.
You may not be an idiot as you claim the rest of us are for not agreeing with you and the blimp. But your grammar and spelling leave a lot to be desired. Do any of you rightwingnuts have access to a dictionary?

The part of the tape Rush failed to delete showed him denigrating the first caller claiming there is no way the caller could be a republican and against the war.... His collective hatred for democrats and anyone against Bush's war is much worse.
Limbaugh has disparaged democrats day in and day out, hours and hours, to armed forces radio for years and years. How can anyone beleive he has any patriotism when he dishes
half the entire population of his native land to foreign posts? What can that possibly benefit the men and women sworn to defend us all?
No, Rush Limbaugh does not have permission to excoriate half the very people who pay for the broadcasts to armed services radio...
We are at war. It is unAmerican for him to speak so hatefully about half or more of the entire population on public paid airwaves.

The irrepressible Limpbow was ecstatic saying "I only missed one question on the whole test that's even better than I did on my drivers test, I think I really have this whole drug thing down pat now!"

Rush "limp" Limbaugh, is without a doubt a draft dodger [vietnam ear big cyst on his tail deferrment], chicken hawk warmonger, racist, bigot, these facts are really with out dispute! All this being said he has his fan base, that 29% who will not change their views of the right wing rhetoric no matter how bad their leaders perform, no matter how often they are lied too and decieved, Limbaugh is nothing more than a rich, arrogant highly paid propagandist, who says what the republican die hard base want and love too hear, anything that denigrates democrats, liberals, the boogie man socialist agenda, etc.., his supporters are merely like him & those politicians he panders too, one really wastes their time trying too change their attitude, opinions, we can all be thankful to god that they are a miniority, can only win elections via fraud, suppressing opponets votes, since as a minority they can never legally win a election, and unless we all let them they cannot continue too steal elections, once exposed their dirty tricks go by the way side, they have the last two elections cycles fooled the independant voters, whom thank god do not eat Rush Limbaugh dung dinners with gusto, but can realize a dung dinner and change ones diet, the hey day of the right wing is fading and we can all hope a better day is coming, since it truly cannot be worse than this past 8 years of fiasco, foot in mouth lies, unfortunately it might take 50 years too regain our honor in the world due too these racsals and degenirates like Rush Limbaugh who have been decieving everyone for so long.
A guy like Rush has the money and influence to beat the easily fooled and extremely inaccurate urine tests that are commonly used.
As much as I despise Rush It is his hypocrisy and NOT at all the fact that he self medicates that bother me.
The War On Some Drugs is the WORST public policy EVER enacted in human history.
Rush should be a real human and start being honest and intelligent and oppose all drug laws as any reasonable, Freedom loving , anti-violence person should.
So saith a couple of the supply of Dupes on these boards in the recent past about their idol in response to "those libruls": He wasn't charged with anything in this drug case because there was no case to be made against him.
Limbaloney was in fact in trouble, and like other first-timers was given a break by the State through a probation agreement. It provided among other things, the he would not use drugs and would use alocholic drinks in moderation. It was further provided that if he successfully passed the testing to assure his compliance, then his record would be purged of the criminal charges. He did, and it was.
He was represented by Roy Black, an excellent defense lawyer in Miami, who moved the Court not to permit his client's medical records to be turned over to the State for examination in toto. Joining in Black's motion was the ACLU, which filed an amicus brief.
The Dupes and the usual suspects of the far-Right were noticeably silent about Black and about the ACLU at work for their idol. In other contexts, Black would have been seen as an ambulance-chasing trial lawyer and the ACLU as an un-American far-left outfit.
However, there was a lot of right-wing howling some years ago when Black successfully defended Ted Kennedy's nephew, William (?) Smith, who had been charged with rape in Palm Beach County.
And you can believe that if Mr. Limbaugh had been POOR (regardless of race, creed or color), LATINO OR BLACK - his gluetus maximus would have seen the inside of a correctional facility!
Unlike pot, barbituates are water soulable so Rush need only have three days notice before the test to pass.
Rush Limbaugh can't get past the term "Clinton Library" without adding "and massage parlor" as a tag line. O.K. I can honestly see the humor in that, I think we all can but how funny would Limbaugh think it was if we were to attatch "Pharmacy, brothel and marriage counsling center" to the sign in front of the library he claims to be buiding that will house memorabelia from his "illustrious career?"
I just hope I'm not taking his drug abuse, prostitute patronizing and multiple divorces out of context. I wouldn't want Rush to get mad and start yelling or anything.
But can we really be sure he passed his drug test?
After all, he does sound like he's still high on drugs. Unless they actually watched him pee in the bottle I would suspect he brought some drug free pee for the test.
If it doesn't also test positive for STD's then I would doubt it was really the pig's pee. You know, with all those sex vacations that he allegedly takes, he could easily be infected.

Chazaroo. I too am a disabled VN vet. I share your feelings big time. I would also extend the invitation to shrub, cheney, and any of their suck ups who voted for them. Bring your lunch brother. It's gonna take awhile.
Over the years I have called the Limpwrist show on this issue. I too have a polindol cyst, yet did two tours in combat. Every time the reason for the call is asked they hang up! LimpWrist was and is a Coward.
