Iraq Veterans Against the War marched to the convention center in St. Paul yesterday intending to present Senator John McCain with a list of demands regarding U.S. military actions in Iraq and Afghanistan. The veterans conducted a similar exercise in Denver at the Democratic Convention and delivered their letter to Senator Obama. McCain, however, refused to meet with the group. The UpTake's Chuck Olsen reports.

John McCain neither supports nor cares about the troops or fellow veterans. He got his and they should shut-up and go get theirs. That's the attitude of ALL Republicans.
John McCain could give a crap about America. He just wants to be President because it is his "turn".
(And that is a veteran speaking).
Yeah, no surprise from a man who has consistently voted against pay increases (just to keep pace with inflation) and medical care and benefits and equipment and training and everything else a military needs for the soldiers.
Nothing but a cucking foward. After all, he's a republicanderthal.
And yet, of the half dozen veterans I know personally, every single one of them is voting for McCain. And this is in Rhode Island, with the highest percentage of registered Democrats in the nation.
When I ask them why they say it's because he will be strong on military issues.
of course A) mcCain cannot answer their questions or accusations and would refuse to deliver their requests. and B)he always Disrespects Veterans when they dont agree with him. their mantra is anyone that disagrees with his personal Iraq war is not a patriot. .
in my opinion,.... Since this primary began and McCain has attacked over and over on how awesome Iraq was as an idea to go in, how awesome he was at telling bush to add troops (3 years later and 3000 troops gone, 38,000 injured) and how much credit he takes for the surge which was really Bush's response to his party finally cracking under the pressure constituents raised,
John McCain OWNS the Iraq war and its complete fraud in going into this useless disaster that has claimed somany americans, nato troops, and iraqi citizens that had nothing to do with any violence themselves.
im sorry to hear tthat the republican party is avoiding these guys.i had a brother die from cancer ,from agent orange.and mc cain was one of the first to say. that agent orange had nothing to do with vets dieing of cancer.and when the vets tried to get money from dow chemical .he fought to keep the courts from fineing them.the republican party is trying vary hard to find clean looking politicans .after what the bush crew has done to this country.there image is in the trash.and i would like to thank each and every vet for there service for the country.we must ask you all to get out there and make your voice herd .tell americans your problem.you all have earned it. and we owe you all .god bless america and our troops.
John McSame is no friend of the troops or the veterans if he was he would have supported the last
GI Bill that just passed over overwhelmingly by the congress. Is that supporting the troops or the veterans?
Country first my ***!
This is unsurprising, as Sen. McCain also refuses to support adequate medical care and benefits for veterans
Apparently we veterans are important to the McCain campaign only as long as were useful to them.
HE A VETERANS HE SHOULD BE PROUD TO MEET HIS FRIEND.
Duh, is anyone really wondering why....
he's too scared.
McCain is simply caught in a tsunami now which is almost cruelly exposing him from every possible angle. The guy is totally past it; that's obviously the core of everything here. He's lost it, in every sense, becoming a grotesque parody of the candidate of 2000 who seemed like the only decent Republican in the room. It's so ludicrous now that it can't be called tragic, but it's still a little sad.
We will gain our freedom one by one. The truth has to sink into each one of us before we have the strength to withstand the onslaught of the RNC/McCain smears. I am proud the soldiers are speaking out and addressing both candidates. This is the freedom they 'thought' they were defending when deploying to Iraq.
well stated
There's divisiveness for ya. there's reaching across the aisle for ya. there's bipartisan discussion for ya. there's complete and totaly hypocrisy for ya.
