Essence Of The Bush Legacy

The New York Times has a lot to answer for these last eight years. The way the Grey Lady rolled over for Bush on the Iraq invasion and WMD, just for starters. But I know I am not alone in noticing how extraordinary have been the implicit insights and commentaries in so many of the photographs they published over the same period.

Here's a classic example from today's paper.

Cartier-Bresson could not have done better.

Simple Epitaph, good idea, how about this one?

Enron, Katrina, Endless War, Endless Deficits

Leaders and citizens from around the world do not have the intrinsic loyalty to America or its' President because -- quite simply -- they are not citizens of the U.S. and have not grown up with our unique brand of Patriotism. It is therefore insightful to see how the rest of the world reacts to Bush -- who see him more objectively... and they hate him. They loathe him. They see him for the Blithering Idiot that he really is... they see him with the perpetual smirk, that snickering, sniggling, little-girl giggling and winking that he does even in the most serious of moments. With a 5 year war, the economy in near recession, with our currency at an all-time and with Osama bin Laden still out there making videos and the price of oil well into the $100's a barrel -- no one else is smiling except Bush -- the village idiot who just happens to be the most ridiculed, despised leader in the world.

What a perfect pictorial metaphor, made even more delicious by Gordon Brown quite literally turning his back on him. This dangerous imbecile has made sure America stands alone.

And when you combine that photo with the Feith interview on 60 Minutes Sunday night it's an even brighter pictorial metaphor- throw in for good measure the scene when Dumbya awarded the Medal of Freedom to Franks, Bremer, and Tenet, how about the cowboy in the flight suit later declaring the end of major combat operations in Iraq with "Mission Accomplished" behind him...and on...and on...and on
Fortunately there are excellent documentaries like "Bush's War" on PBS to set the record straight- is it logical to assume that at least ONE member of Congress watched it too!!!
Imbecile, while accurate, doesn't scratch the surface......how about "dangerously incompetent"- the saddest part is that they ARE getting away with it, and when the Decider goes back to Crawford next year he will again be able to do the ONE AND ONLY THING he's ever, EVER been good at his entire worthless life..............................Clearing brush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
