The Last Temptation of Little George

It looks like Little George is fantasizing about going out in a blaze of glory. You can see it in his eyes, you can hear it in his voice. This is very dangerous.

If the US bombs Iran, this will be the reason:

Essentially weak men who spend their lives striking poses of strength can be fatally tempted by the Gotterdammerung impulse. It's a coward's way out, a flight from the consequences of one's pretensions to greatness but it can feel like vindication. It can feel like the ultimate proof of strength--this final act of bogus heroism.

And if there's ever been a bogus hero, it's Little George.

Memo to Laura: talk your man down.
