COMFORT TOOLS, 63x53", oil on canvas, 2012
They adjust the rail riding floatation devices that move above the hanging paint panels. What is an illusion for? The paint material starts us from where we are now and then we decide what to see. The seascape resides on a canvas that is suspended as a backdrop to create a sense of place where the mechanics that use the comfort tools want to be.
My Los Angeles solo exhibits were at ACME
and at Carl Berg Gallery. In 2012 I was in the exhibit, TO LIVE AND PAINT IN LA, at the Torrance Art Museum, Torrance, CA.
