Tim Carney, from Pelham, N.Y., is the author of The Big Ripoff: How Big Business and Big Government Steal Your Money, available now from John Wiley and Sons. Tim is a the Warren T. Brookes Journalism Fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, a contributing editor at Human Events, and a freelance journalist. Formerly a Phillips Fellow and a reporter for the Evans-Novak Political Report, Tim freelances occasionally for The American Spectator, National Review Online, and The American Conservative among others. Carney graduated from the National Journalism Center in the summer of '99 and in 2000 from St. John's College in Annapolis. He and his wife Katie live on Capitol Hill.
