Three New Activities for Every Angeleno

If you're born and raised in Southern California and enjoy exploring the city, here are three must try activities as we approach summer.

Hyde Staples Center

Hyde at STAPLES Center is located on Level C with the other suites and is open before, during and long after venue events. The club within the most renowned arena features two salons, three bars, a dance hall and private "Great Room" and strategically positioned floating LCD TV screens. Whether patrons attend for sporting events or concerts, Hyde Staples Center combines the exclusivity everyone in L.A. claim to have and the best views in the building. Upcoming spring and summer events include Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Snoop Dogg, Lakers and Clippers. The best part of Hyde Staples Center is guests receive food and drink credit with purchase, which means you can eat more than a hotdog and drink better than a watered down beer.

Marina Del Rey Parasailing

Yes, it sounds very touristy but with a giving thrill-seekers a view of our coastline pictures that has lately been limited to the three second opening of Entourage reruns or Two and Half Men. The operation gives Angelenos a different perspective. If you're like me and are little afraid of heights, flyers can choose from 800 ft, 500 ft or observing from the boat (my choice). The flight offers panoramic views of the Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach Boardwalk as you're gently lifted from the boat's flight deck to your chosen altitude. No, you don't need to get in the water.

Live @ The Library

In the center of Hollywood, gracing the second level of the Redbury Hotel is The Library, an indoor-outdoor lounge. With warm weather upon us, once or twice a month up-and-coming bands perform, offering music fans a venue that capitalizes on L.A.'s warm weather and music that is just about to be over played on the two rock stations in L.A. Concert-goers can enjoy music under the stars, sharable bites from Cleo, the restaurant downstairs, and game of pool. Most concerts are secret so be sure to follow them on Twitter or Facebook.
