Who am I? I am and we are more than words on a page, our schooling and degrees. It’s that “something more” that my life has been about even when I didn’t know it. What I used to call “coincidences” have happened to me so abundantly that I have learned to follow their trail. What does this have to do with health and nutrition?

Health and nutrition has been a major trail that I have followed since I was twelve years old when I became fascinated with having a greater understanding of my own biochemistry, my own body and how it worked best. I read dozens of nutrition books. I learned to follow what served my body. I learned to listen to my body.

Then I spent years following some other trails. One trail was art in the form of painting and sculpture. On this trail was a sculpture award from the University of Southern California, a two year scholarship granting an art studio in Paris (l lived, studied and worked in Paris and Spain for 9 years), an honor’s program at Cambridge University, an award for sculpture at the L’ Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts in Paris and a BFA from Stanford University. Along the way I also had an art gallery in in Hollywood, California.

Then another path developed with led me down the trail of my own personal growth and spiritual awakening. I later spent over 12 years facilitating seminars working with people in their personal growth and awakening traveling worldwide with Insight Transformational Seminars. This trail led to 15 years of study getting a Masters and Doctorate in Spiritual Science which included studies from the perspective that we are physical, emotion, mental and spiritual beings. I saw that healing and nutrition (what we take into our bodies) often has to do with these multiple levels. This appealed to the detective in me and I so enjoyed learning to prioritize what’s most important while navigating and clearing the labyrinth of issues in our lives.

Abruptly a physical challenge entered center stage in my life almost 10 years ago. This was most unexpected and by necessity led me on an intense and I would say almost voracious pursuit of my own healing and studying in the field of health and particularly nutrition. I met amazing doctors and practitioners, studying with a number of them (Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, Dr. Datis Kharrazian, Diana Noland, CN to name a few). I took courses non-stop gobbling up all kinds of health information. I got a Certificate in Nutritional Medicine from the American University of Complementary Medicine Institute. I became a Holistic Nutrition and Health Counselor/Coach with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and a member of American Association of Drugless Practitioners.

I am a Healthy Life Counselor/ Detective assisting my clients in having great nutrition individualized to their bodies. I love to work with the whole person to support the opening of whatever levels can lead to greater health, balance, joy and loving in their lives. Nutrition is big key along with doing what you love, exercising the body, and having loving relationships and environments. These are some of the main life areas we look at and nurture in my sessions with my clients. People soon discover that they are running on a more optimum fuel that is higher in octane as their lives become lighter and easier.

I was recently in Paris and saw the spectacular Claude Monet Exhibition at the Grand Palais. This Retrospective of Monet's work filled room after room with light-filled paintings that covered a major part of Monet's life and evolution.

I was struck by the experience of the...
