HuffPost Exclusive: A New Song From Me and the Heartbreakers

Posted: 06/07/10 10:07 AM ET

Mojo is the first album by me and the Heartbreakers in 8 years. With this album, I want to show other people what I hear with the band. Mojo is where the band lives when it's playing for itself. Take a listen to "Running Man's Bible." It's a little taste of what Mojo sounds like.

Sounds a lot like Dire Straits.

Hey Tom:

Why do music veterans take so long between albums?

Seems like you guys knock them out once a year or once every couple years when you're younger, then it gets longer and longer between releases.

Just curious.

I have been a fan since the beginning and want to ad my thanks and big welcome back! You always rock my world. I hope to see you on your next tour.

WOW Tom what a great bluesy sound on that track, I love it! I've been a fan your whole career and have seen your concerts several times. The last was your last tour through Tampa and it was fantasic as usual. I guess now I have to buy your lastest, even though I would anyway! Keep up the good work you and the band you guys are one of the best!
PEACE

Sorry, this song really sucks. Empty lyrics, derivative of Santana guitar, washed-up signing by Petty. Time to hang up your spurs, man.

Show these young kids how it's done Tom, Rock and Roll is hard work and I see by your concert tour dates, you're no slacker!

This band has really grown over the years. They just keep getting better and better!! Always memorable tunes with gret hooks. Good solid American music!
