WOW!
The safest way to create wealth for yourself is to create a sustainable economy for yourself. That means getting a valuable set of skills, educaton, and adopting a financially responsible lifestyle. Those fundamental principles were lost somewhere along the line. The over use of credit combined with irresponsible gambling of funds backed up with nothing more tangible than "faith." has lead us down the path to where we are today.
Instead of looking back, we must now look forward. May the force be with us!
You make some good points but the problem is the valuable set of skills you invested so much of your life developing can lose their value very quickly due to circumstances beyond your control.
Pray you never find yourself working in the wrong industry at age 50.
Indeed, that job could get outsourced and your skills obsoleted in a heartbeat these days
