Police arrested a gunman they suspect in the killings of homeless people in New York City and Washington, D.C.
A gunman is suspected of killing at least two people and wounding three others in less than two weeks on the streets of New York City and Washington D.C.
Two of the victims — one in each city — have died.
Surveillance video of the violence is "chilling, to see a cold-blooded act of murder," Mayor Eric Adams said at a news conference.
The Fox News host's attacks on the homeless are "so extreme and dangerous," one critic wrote.
The "Last Week Tonight" host exclaimed "WTF" to a common complaint about people who live on the streets.
"I met people across the country, from Appalachia to Oakland, who worked multiple jobs, had multiple roommates, and still could not reliably pay all of their bills each month."
The apparently homeless man's retort is now trending after an anti-vaccine protester asked why homeless people weren't "dead in the streets with COVID."
"How did I wind up living in my car? My husband disappeared. Before he vanished, I stopped recognizing him."
The California congresswoman is one of the most prominent Black figures in U.S. politics.
