Tricia Williams is an accomplished executive chef, culinary artist and holistic nutrition expert. Williams founded Food Matters in 2008 to share her passion for organic, locally sourced food. Now, she and her team deliver delicious, customized gourmet meals to celebrities, politicians, executives and families, leading busy parents and professionals to better food choices and healthier lifestyles.

Over the years, Williams has left her mark on some of Manhattan’s best eating establishments including: The City Bakery, Home Restaurant and Isla. Born and based in New York, Williams believes a personalized diet can make a significant impact: “Food Matters is helping individuals and families lead healthier lives through hands-on education and nutritional guidance. What we eat affects our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. We strongly believe in a person’s bio-individuality and help clients understand the food choices that would best nourish their bodies.”

Williams’s work has been featured nationally and regionally in media outlets such as:

The New York Times, W, Glamour, Bride, New York Magazine, Gotham, The Daily News and The New York Observer. Greenwich Village Home Restaurant founders David Page and Barbara Shinn featured recipes by Williams in their book, Recipes from Home. She is also a contributor to the Oxford Dictionary of Food and Wine.

A passion for culinary nutrition led to a 2002 certification in Holistic Nutrition from Columbia’s Teachers College. She holds a Food Therapy Certification from Annemarie Colbin’s National Gourmet Institute and is currently pursuing a Masters in Nutrition Education from New York University. She resides in Manhattan with her husband and their two children.
