The FSH Society has announced the first ever World FSHD Day on June 20th, 2016. It's a day to celebrate life with FSHD and to share awareness around the globe about this rare genetic muscle wasting disease.

FSHD or Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy is a degenerative muscle disease affecting roughly 1 million people worldwide with awareness of this disease just as rare. The FSH Society, along with the FSH Champions, an international alliance of advocacy organizations want to change that. We are looking for everyone's support whether you are a person with FSHD, a family member, an advocate, a researcher, or just have a big heart for noble causes.

To participate all you have to do is visit the World FSHD Day Facebook events page and get the World FSHD Day logo for your social media image and share posts publicly with the hashtags #WorldFSHD and #CureFSHD. You can share your own personal stories and host your own events to help spread awareness about FSHD across the globe with the aid of their tool kit, as well as donate to research to find a cure.

Let's go viral on social media with orange smiles for FSHD.
