Tyler is a practicing Roman Catholic with a B.A. in Theology and Religious Studies from Seattle University. He also teaches a class at the Duke Catholic Center on St. Ignatius and spiritual direction. Tyler divides his time between Durham, North Carolina and his hometown of Anchorage, Alaska.
