This film is the story of Ayesha and Aya, both 12 and both want to be doctors when they grow up. They have lived through things that no one should ever have to experience, let alone a child. Bombing, violence, death. Now in Lebanon they are both with their families and trying to rebuild their lives.

Ayesha works a double shift in the harvest, 12 hour days in the relentless heat of the Bekka Valley. Aya is taking part in a different kind of double shift. An innovative solution that the Lebanese Government are implementing where schools lengthen their day and allow two shifts of children to be taught.

This September through this system 200,000 Syrian refugee children are going back to school. Aya is one of them.
