Union Leaders' Clash Over Dem Endorsements A Sign Of Racial Polarization

My union brothers and sisters, may I suggest that the biggest mistake of a lifetime would be to do anything that helps McCain bring us a Bush third term. Anything short of a Democrat in the White House and solid, veto proof majorities in congress will end Social Security and Medicare as we know them. Republicans have hated unions and organizers since way back in the day when they hanged Wobblies and gave us the Ludlow Massacre. Republicans have rolled back the democratic power of unions in favor of management and exploitation during our lifetimes and if you want more of that, help them win in 2008. posted 05/15/2008 at 09:24:51

Why the generalization? They often dislike minorities or their pastor preaches the gospel of faith-based politics. You may be different. Same county, a commissioner offered an employee a bonus if she would kick back half of it, and was not put away. Same county, a family was supposedly given too much in food stamps and Medicaid, the county's errors, and they want to put him away. I know a kid who bought weed and was busted, jailed for several months, not put into rehab that he needed badly. Another guy at the buy flipped to stay out of jail and lied as the DA wanted him to so a minor misdemeanor got a person stripes. How does that make sense?
