I live in a newly gentrified area where there are prostiutues that are on the "outskirts" of town walking these mean streets in the early morning serving that middleclass man that cant or dont want to ask his wife for sex.

I dont feel sorry for her She better strike the iron while it is hot cause her 15 min are almost over.And 4 grand for an apt That is ALL my bills combined for the month.

I do think portion-control is the key to weight control and losing weight and also eating FIVE times a day instead of three would def state of f hunger pangs. BUT I do want bigger portions at places like CHeescake factory and better restuarants. Any religion that professes that GOD loves one group of people more than another is on its face false. Period.

Only a weak-minded person would believe that GOD would choose then over another group. NO group is chosen. .. not even Jews.

You have never been to a black church? How about a synagogue/barmitvah cele bration or a mosque. I cannot believe that some Americans are so ignorant of other religious practices..i.e call/response from the Amen corner in the black church,such that you would find the practices offensive.

If you find a black pastor not speaking about the wrongs and evils in our society then you will find a black pastor on the faith-based handout payroll (and there are many) .

You should read more if you are not able to visit a Black CHurch.

What is up with the kids hair?

I just dont understand. Z's hair always look unkempt. It just seems to me that folks that adopt black kids or bi-racial kids just dont know what to do with their hair. I see these kids in the mall and think...these parents could at least comb the kids hairm in a decent , acceptable style.

I agree with Hume Skeptic. Most folks that disagree with Wright, have never visited a Black church It is simple as that . See Wright was not in anybody pocket. ...he wasnt chasing after the faith-based hand-outs.

You better believe the correctional officers/gurads watched him hallucinate,,,like he was a darn animalI worked in booking in WISC. for 2 years so I know how folks in jail are treated...If a persoh arrives with med problems, they would not see a dr. for days, perhaps a l.p.n to administer tylenol and that is it.

Even if he had his own medication to control his h.b.p Levert would not be able to take that...A doctor must approve your meds. and this process takes about 2 months! This article is on point...I personally do not go to any innercity doctor or dentist or hospitals for that matter. The practitioners inevitably will treat you like their surrounding/patient populations. I have had so many horrible experience as child from going to these unprofessional doctors who treated me badly b/c they just did not care about me as an individual, but saw just another black 'li girl.

Even now when I go to a "good"hospital, the doctors are surprised that I have very good insurance (I have a State job) and theyare extremely surprised when I have researched my medical issue.

I had a mammogram at 2 different hospitals. I realized that 1 doctor/radiologist was shrugging me off...when I questioned him about "the calcifications" he took umbrage with my line of questioning. I am thinkin wtf! wthell is wrong with this person. I asked to have the test reviewed by another person in the same dept. ...same response basically

The other hospital staff was very different. The doctor actually touched me...saying if I was his sister he would tell her the same thing.

What are we going to do about racism...I dont know. BUT we have a lot of angry Black folks out there. AND I am not talking about thugs/hoodlums who "be wildin' but professionals who look at whites with very deep distrust. posted 03/26/2008 at 12:04:22

Why do people say that he said these things in the proescence of Obama's children? Why assume his kids were present? MOST churches black and white have childrens ministries..Children are sent to different areas of the church for age-appropriate activities. Rev Wright church is no different.
