Bush Compares Obama To Nazi Appeasers

I live in Washington DC near the vice-pres mansion and whenever I see a bumper sticker with Bush/Cheney, I try to look inside the car to see exactly what these people look like. Usually they are driving SUV's with tinted dark glass. They do exist, however, I have not been able to identify one yet., but I will keep trying. posted 05/15/2008 at 10:19:25

Yes, and he was wrong on this too.Obama had already gone to WV when this segment aired on TV and it was noted in the newpapers. posted 05/12/2008 at 12:43:37

Hillary Will Drop Out by June 15

I wasn't clear - I am referring to her settling up and not leaving disgruntled staffers and vendors etc unpaid. I would hate to see anyone especially the little people left holding the bag. I agree with you but if she leaves now a whole lot of folks are gonna be left unpaid. The debt is not hers personally but her campaign's and you can bet that she will pay herself right off the top. So, giving her a little bit more time to settle up isn't such a bad thing. Is the candidate personally reasonsible for the debts that they incur while running for office ? I am not sure...

Then I am referring to the importance of party unity as she exits and the hope that all Dems will rally behind Obama. posted 05/07/2008 at 17:52:42
she must stay until a deal is worked out. there are debts and salaries to be paid and staffers to relocate. it really is about the unity of the party. poltics is big business and the exit strategy is important. beating the republicans is the goal. please let's be kind - as much as I am for Obama I am for the Democratic party. HRC will eventually do the right thing for the party. I hope...it can't be easy for her and this is where graciousness on all sides should prevail. the Clintons can be very crafty however, I think they see the end game moment is now. now is better than later. posted 05/07/2008 at 15:30:40

Clinton: OPEC Can No Longer Be A Cartel

Blow Iran off the map ? Dismantle OPEC ? She IS tough. Which will she do on Day 1 ? If she is going to dismantle OPEC I suggest she better nuke Iran first 'cause we won't have the gas to fly our jets once she dismantles OPEC. posted 05/06/2008 at 16:49:24

From the Washington Post's Colbert King on April 26, 2008
Farrakhan's Pennsylvania Admirer is none other than Gov. Ed Rendell.
On YouTube Gov. Rendell stands with Farrakhan and praises him and the Nation of Islam at a gathering. According to Colbert King there is a 2 page letter to Farrakhan from Rendell. Read the column and see how "associations" with controversial people works on both sides of the political divide.
Yet, we do not hear criticism of Gov. Rendell, an ardent supporter of Sen. Clinton, for his association with the Farrakhan. HRC is a clever politician who does very well at projection and is crafty at blaming her opponents for the very things she is guilty of herself. Guilt by association is a very dangerous game for HRC to play for eventually it will backfire. posted 04/29/2008 at 13:41:12

Clinton On Iran: Could "Totally Obliterate" Them If They Attacked Israel

Very scary that she would even think "obliterate another country"
obliterate is to remove utterly from recognition or memory
to remove from existence : destroy utterly all trace, indication, or significance
Did she "misspeak" ? I sure hope so. posted 04/22/2008 at 18:21:43

Bill Clinton: Obama "Played The Race Card On Me"... Listen To Audio

some of my friends have a theory that Bill is, perhaps unconsciously, trying to sabotage HRC's chances at winning the presidency. it may not be, but it sure seems like he says the most unfortunate things at he most inopportune time. strange coming from him, reportedly one of the most brilliant political tacticians of our time. posted 04/22/2008 at 18:05:59

Stupid Is As Hillary (and Charlie, George, and Tim) Does

Well put Mr. Brant
Time does march on at a very steady pace. This country is in transformation mode and HRC might win and slow things down for a minute but positive forward change is inevitable. Most people are fearful of change because it is the unknown but once good things start to happen for all Americans and our status as a world leader is restored in the eyes of the rest of the world everyone will get on board. It's a global economy with global repercussions so everyone must be included and we must work together for everyone to win. There is no excuse for the kind of hunger we see in places like Haiti or the continuing nightmare after-shocks of a Hurricane Katrina. We must be less concerned with the "me" and more about the "we". HRC is so yesterday and Obama is the best hope for the future.
A new world view. posted 04/20/2008 at 21:14:37

Sam Nunn, David Boren Endorse Obama

It's time to turn our attention, funds and energy to the fight to regain the White House. The Democratic party has a huge job to win this election 'cause McCain is not going to just roll over and give it up ez.
If Sen Clinton thinks she has a chance to win ,she will not quit and she shouldln't if she believes she can win. However, if she really doesn't have the numbers to pull off the nomination she should give it up after the PA , Indiana primaries.
She seems to love a good fight but she might surprise everyone and do what's best for the Dem. party.
We can hope... posted 04/18/2008 at 17:31:50

The ABC Debate: A Shameful Night for the U.S. Media

What a sham !
I really wanted to hear as we move closer to the actual presidential election more on each of the Dems detailed economic policies. The economy has taken a very ugly downward turn since the primary season began and I wanted to hear to hear if either of them had adjusted their policy. Instead the George and Charlie Show took us to all the dark places we have been so many times before that iit was a fiasco called a debate and no one, not he candidates or the media, came out looking good. posted 04/17/2008 at 09:21:26

Rep. Geoff Davis On Obama: "That Boy" Could Not Be Commander-In-Chief

Tavis Smiley Reportedly Quits Radio Show Over Obama Hate

I have listened to the Tom Joyner show for a long time. Tavis' commentaries of late are indicative of an ego that has become over-sized. I didn't always agree with him but he often had a valid point of view, but lately he has been so egocentric I can no longer listen to him pontificating about what is right and what is wrong. He was "sucking all the air out of the room." It's only Tavis Smiley's opinion that matters to Tavis Smiley.

It is also interesting to note that he has signed an exclusivity contract with Nationwide Insurance.
Nationwide Insurance was one of the major offenders of insurance companies that denied monies on insurance claims filed by the victims of Hurricane Katrina and Rita. H-mmm. posted 04/14/2008 at 10:36:24

Clinton Under Fire Over False Story Of Health Care Horror

the image of her flinging her "book bag" (most were using backpacks by then, but hey maybe she did have a book bag still) was too funny. Was she hurt or angry ? Whatever, I am sure she was like everyone that day, just plain shocked. All that drama-queen stuff is a bit unbelievable.
That day was suddenly like a bad dream and soon to follow RFK (me and HRC are the same age) and at first it was like "did you hear..." "is it true..." and then a sadness that you could taste and smell filled the air and then the cities exploded and burned. Then everyone just took cover.
I think HRC is more weary than most want to admit, including her. posted 04/05/2008 at 13:57:02

Hillary Clinton Tax Returns: See Full Details

The post-presidential years have been very good for Bill Clinton and it is because he is a charismatic and intelligent guest speaker (if you like the guy) IMO he's way too hyped up over HRC's campaign but that's his way.
It is not the amount of money that they made, I am more curious about which organizations/groups and individuals paid him and evidently paid him very well.
Money trail.
Has anyone found any conflict of interests or questionable donors ? If not, then OK the tax returns are out. Done.
They started out average income and have made a fortune, isn't that the American way?

Architectural Digest did a spread recently on the Carville/Matelin residence and almost all of the rooms pictured were the most horrid pepto-bismal hot pink , , .I have ever seen. Then a few weeks ago I saw Carville at Union Station in DC waiting for the train to NY and he had on a deep pink shirt and I actually shuddered. He and his wife are very scary people. The way they attack anyone who doesn't agree with them is really frightening. Yet, they are married, two opposing political forces . Maybe it's all that pink... posted 03/25/2008 at 17:36:56

Morning Shows Snipe At Clinton Over Bosnia Remarks

Misspoke ?!? Did Sen Clinton honestly believe what she said ,or did she think we would believe ANYTHING she said, and all the media along for the ride would go along with her story. C'mon !
