Born in secret Soviet nuclear town "Tchelyabinsk-40" two weeks after Stalin's death, son of Jewish Communists and Russian nobility.
Never voluntarily belonged to any Soviet organizations, even Komsomol.
Thrown out of Leningrad State University for politics, drafted into Russian Army, fighting oil and gas fires in Baku, Azerbaijan in 1973-75.
Former "otkaznik" of 10 years, at the time - staunch Zionist, targeted and hunted by KGB for years for my open support of Israel.
Later, after a brief visit to Israel I became more like an anti-Zionist. Any country without equal protection of all its residents under the law is a fascist country, however mild the version and however shrewd the excuse.

Conservative Republican for many years, Charter Member of Republican Center in Washington, member of Republican Presidential Task Force since 1989, I suspended my Party membership since the 1 day of Iraq War, which I consider criminal and anti-American.
