Chelsea, sweetie, next time they ask you that question, reply in kind: "I think the American people truly would have appreciated the intense level of scrutiny by the media, if it had been as focused on the War in Iraq, 9/11, and the last seven years of un-checked activities from The Bush Administration, as it was and continues to be with the Private Lives of my parents. Again, it's none of your fucking business." Well, maybe leave out the fucking part, but the "F" bomb will probably get you a standing ovation.

Billy Joel Closes Down Shea Stadium With Paul McCartney

Wow. I am sure this was a major thrill for Joel, to have McCartney there with him. I can't believe I didn't get off my lazy ass and make an effort to be there.....if only to hear "A Hard Day's Night" performed live by Joel, with McCartney there to take the stage and close with "Let It Be" -- posted 07/20/2008 at 11:22:25

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Cries After Sparring With Whoopi Over N-Word (VIDEO)

I'm on the side of Maya Angelou on this one: Words matter. We have to be careful about what we say to and about each other, because the effects can be ever-lasting, leaving tattooed imprints on a persons soul. Thoughtful responses, and a positve reaction to a negative action-are the only way the world will change. I don't like the "n" word (or other words that brand or label) because it groups people into one lump-as though they were all alike in each and every way. We all have our individuality and uniqueness that a single word could never spell out. posted 07/20/2008 at 11:11:55

Luke Russert, Tim Russert's Son, Remembers His Dad On "Today" Show

I think Tim's journalistic integrity got pushed, again, and the feelings of anxiety over what was happening to him (and journalists like him, who once had integrity) had built up to a level that was uncontrollable. I don't suppose it had anything to do with the suppression by the media of Kucinich introducing Articles Of Impeachment this last week, again, or the failures that continue to mount daily out of Iraq, and now Iowa? It's a sad shame. When I first started paying attention to politics I turned to his show, and found it to be very helpful and informative for someone just coming into things, politically speaking. I always thought of him as fair, save the last six months. Who knows how much of it was "him" and how much was "them" -- in terms of his passing, and how he took care of himself. God Bless, Tim. And thanks for the intro....you made it interesting and I wanted to learn more, and kept learning, so ....you were a great teacher. The best thing to be, as far as I'm concerned. posted 06/16/2008 at 20:21:12

He's a politician, not the Pope. Rest assured, Obama lies his ass off, and it's already been proven on a number of occasions. If you'd like, I can list them here. you're so right! if not for the endless Clinton scandals throughout the 90s , it would not have been possible for Bush to get in.

What a load. The "scandals" were engineered by the Republican party, each and every one. The Media is owned by the Right Wing. Bill Clinton left office (right after the Lewinsky scandal) with a 70% approval rating, and most of those would have voted him in a third term if it had been legal. A segment of the population believed the crap that the media fed us, to get Bush as far as he got. posted 03/31/2008 at 15:55:23

Leno: I Won't Be Part Of British Car Show Remake Because NBC Will Ruin It

He's waited a long time to be able to play his cards somewhere else, and he deserves to do so. The way he started at NBC was shitty to everyone involved, and most of the blame for the entire fiasco goes to NBC. posted 04/01/2008 at 20:14:45

Chris Matthews Really Plays Hardball, Demands New Guest Name Sources For Obama Claim

This is why I am so glad that Hillary did not give up when they told her to three months ago. ALL of it should come out, about ALL of the candidates. No one should slip in under the radar. Chris Mathews is a tool, and has lost all credibility. This battle between the media and the Clintons is the real story.....Members of The Media are terrified of what will happen at each and every Press Conference Hillary would give as Commander In Chief, addressing the problems our Nation now faces after eight years of Bush. I can just see her smiling (and cackling) every time the Press tries to ask a stupid question, or tries to play rough with her. She'll turn right back at all of them, and point her finger, (and maybe even wag it a little-with a smirk on her face) and say something like, "Well, if you people in the media had been doing your jobs, and were actually informing the American people, maybe it wouldn't have gotten as bad as it it." This is the fear people......believe it. posted 03/29/2008 at 11:11:51

AP: Why Wasn't The Truth Good Enough For Hillary?

Obama's language is what gives him away. He's the star of the debate team at times, but without a page in front of him, he can be a bit lost. "Typical white" sounds like "typical black" - a stereo-type that paints all people with a certain background or skin color as one and the same. But the let record show it was Bill Clinton who injected the racism into the campaign. Uh-huh. It seems to work both ways. posted 03/26/2008 at 08:14:34
