Canadian, from Victoria, Provincial Capital of British Columbia (for Sarah Palin fans, that would be the "furrin" territory on the Pacific coast between AK and WA.)
History postgraduate student.
Member of Green Party of Canada.
Member of various environmental and pro-animal organizations.
Political leaning: Socialist-Libertarian (Chomskyan.)
Lifelong vegetarian.
Big fan of: Sarah McLachlan, Allison Crowe (I know, most of you Yanks never heard of her. Some of her stuff is on youtube, check it out, she really is amazing...), Annie Lennox, Feist, Joni Mitchell, Diana Krall and many jazz singers from the past (Ella, Sarah, Julie London etc.) I also like Broadway and classical music.
I play the guitar (acoustic and classical) and I have a decent singing voice, but no aspirations to ever become a "pro".
Movie buff: foreign and indies my favourites.
