Ed Koch: Obama Is A Sure Loser, Clinton Should Fight On

His school was hardly elite. In fact while in Indonesia his mother would wake him up early before she went to work so that she could give him additional lessons, so that he would not fall behind his American counterparts. Moreover, part of the reason for bringing him back to the states was so that he could have the superior education of an American public school.

See, when you don't read his book but just quote the internets you sound dumb. posted 04/13/2008 at 22:18:13
I agree with you that his statements are now fair game. In the world of the 24 hr media cycle, which is primed by the bloggosphere in many regards, a candidate has to be measured in every exchange or risk being taken out of context. However, in acting as she did Mayhill has violated the code of journalistic integrity and as such will likely have little access to any subject in the future. posted 04/13/2008 at 22:12:21
The problem with Mayhill is that she showed no journalistic integrity. She did not consult additional sources or approach the candidate for background and worst of all she sneaked a tape recorder into a no media event.

Well she now has her 15 minutes. I hope she is proud of her work on this issue because it is all, if anything, that Americans will remember her for. I doubt if any candidate, or any subject for that matter, will grant her media access in the future. posted 04/13/2008 at 15:20:08

An Issue of Legitimacy and Democracy

Corzine, I know you will never read this and yes, I do give you props on the Darfur work, but the idea that the super delegates should vote to override the decision of the pledged delegates is a JOKE. The democratic party is the party of Jefferson who said: "...the will of the society enounced by the majority of a single vote as sacred as if unanimous is the first of all lessons in importance..."

[sarcasm] I'm so very glad and deeply touched that you take such care in weighing all the relevant factors in your decision, and I am sure that your personal political goals would never play a role in influencing you. [/sarcasm] But guess what, when I elect a pledged delegate they are running on a very simple one line platform: to vote for a particular candidate at the convention. When I vote to elect someone who ends up as a super delegate I am voting for them based on a complex platform for governor or senator or whatever and the last thing that is on my mind is how they will vote in a nomination as a super.

So, please, grow a pair and respect the will of the people and the founding principles of the party, or don't and stfu. posted 04/07/2008 at 01:03:48

The author herself promotes this meeting, which she describes, as her reason for supporting Sen. Clinton. Please reread her very title for clarification on that point. Although I agree that Clinton cares very much for what she does, as you put it. It is clear to me that she cares more about her own personal ambitions than she does about her party.
