Superdelegate Endorsements Follow Primary Contests

Hillary is more like the Michael Myers (Halloween) of politics than the Glen Close character in Fatal Attraction. She's dead, but just won't accept it. I'm an older citizen, lifelong Democrat, and there is no scenario in which I would ever vote for Hillary Clinton. None. I know many, many like me who are of the same persuasion.

If she gets the nomination, she will not unite the party. She will destroy it. Utterly. I'd rather suffer four years of McCain that a potential eight years of Hillary. If she loses the nomination (which I pray she does) she is finally going to have that stake driven through her political heart, and the Clintons will fade away, forever. But then again, like the Halloween movies, there are the inevitable sequels. Aaaarrrggghhh! posted 05/21/2008 at 15:43:47

Creationism In US High Schools: 16 Percent Of US Science Teachers Are Creationists

I was educated by Jesuit priests and Dominican nuns. I still remember, back in the olden days (1950s) one the nuns in science class telling us that there was nothing wrong with believing in evolution, that it was, as she saw it, God's intent to let life and the universe unfold in wondrous ways. Anyhow, in the intervening years, I came to appreciate what she told us so many years ago, and even though I am no longer a religious person, I still am amazed at how many Americans are so very stupid when it comes to empirical evidence. I think religion, as Christopher Hitchens points out so well in his latest book, "poisons everything." If we do, as it seems likely, fall further behind other countries in science and technology, we have no one to blame but ourselves for allowing creationism and intelligent design to gain a foothold in our public schools.

The evangelicals and their political cronies have done untold damage to our culture and especially to our system of public education. posted 05/21/2008 at 18:33:07

Obama To Tennessee GOP: "Lay Off My Wife"

The line most often used about Michelle Obama's pride in her country, as featured in endless loops on MSNBC, CNN, and Fox, omits the word "really" before the word proud. I recorded a Hardball episode where it was obvious that her words had been edited. There is a slight break in the recording where she said "really proud" instead of just proud. The omission of "really" changes everything. The MSM scum knew this and yet persist in this fabrication, to what ends is anyone's guess.

I guess it's anything for a story to keep viewer interest, even if it is not factual. posted 05/19/2008 at 12:47:01

Olbermann To Bush: "This War Is Not About You...Shut The Hell Up!"

Olbermann says in a compelling way what many of us think and feel about GWB. In some travels outside the US (Canada, England, Ireland, Italy, Spain) over the past few years, when the topic of politics comes up with citizens of those countries, they think we must have been crazy to elect Bush in the first place. But even worse, in their opinions, was reelecting him. I'm sure others who have traveled abroad have similar experiences.

Hillary Agonistes: Why Doesn't She Concede?

Simply, Clinton is not a team player. Her mere presence would, I believe be a bad thing for Obama, and his entire administration. Just an opinion, but I recall her rather nasty way in those healthcare meetings in the 90s, and that, coupled with the fact that in eight years as a US senator, she has not one piece of even remotely significant legislation that she authored. Again, my take is that she is not a team player, but has a breathtaking sense of entitlement to be president, partially to vindicate her relationship with a philandering husband, who just happened to be president. posted 05/14/2008 at 15:54:46
She's in it to be the first female president. She's basically a Republican at heart anyhow. posted 05/14/2008 at 15:33:27
I think the reason she just won't quit is because she is in denial. Sort of like Hitler in his bunker in April 1945, with the Soviets at the eastern gates of Berliln and the Americans and British advancing from the west. Hitler was hoping for a last minute miracle to save him, but his generals knew better. For his part Hitler was quite willing to utterly destroy Germany to keep his dream alive. It's the Götterdämmerung scenario. Her sense of destiny and entitlement trump reason, the good of her party and the good of the country. She, who uttered the words "I'm not going to lose."to Katie Couric last December, when asked what she would do if she lost.

When she finally goes, I say good riddance. Hopefully, Obama will never even consider her for the VP slot. It would be a disaster for everyone. posted 05/14/2008 at 15:31:22
Clinton is like Michael Myers of the Halloween films. She won't go away. Actually, Myers is more appealing than Hillary in many ways. Camile Paglia wrote a brilliant piece about the Clinton resolve to stay in the race "till the last dog dies.

Many of her negatives, her questionable public record, including her so called "experience" are nicely described.

Six Reasons Why Obama and Clinton Would Each Say "Yes" to VP

Watching Clinton's speech tonight in WV following her "win" and her insistence that the Florida and Michigan delegates be recognized convinces me that Obama would be absolutely crazy to have her on the ticket. She dissed Obama at every opportunity, played to racial fears, had her surrogates damage him as much as possible. She is a bottom-feeding gutter rat and has more baggage than is acceptable to any discerning voter. No one challenges her to her face regarding her words about Michigan not counting -- before she "won." These primaries are PARTY elections and the PARTY made the rules, which Florida and Michigan CHOSE to violate. Hundreds of thousands of Floridians did not go to the polls because there was really no election, and in Michigan, as everyone knows, Obama was not even on the ballot.

The Clintons need to just go away. I am sick of all of them. posted 05/13/2008 at 21:58:53

McAuliffe Spars With Matthews, Calls Him 'Obama Campaign Chair'

I am so glad you said this. You are correct -- there is a huge difference between votes cast in a primary and those cast in the general election. One has to wonder just how many of Clinton's popular vote total is comprised of Republicans who are trying to do Rush Limbaugh's will.

Bill Clinton's Angry Confrontation With Voter (VIDEO)

Hillary is two-faced. What I think she is trying to do is damage Obama just enough with Republican rhetoric to cause him to lose to McCain. Who can doubt that she wants this to happen? It must be obvious to her that she cannot win the nomination unless there is some hideous backroom deal with the superdelegates. If she doesn't steal the nomination, and if Obama loses, she'll be waiting in the wings during the McCain presidency to once again subject the country to her ugly, ugly self, and her equally repulsive husband. posted 05/09/2008 at 11:20:37
Who thought Bill Clinton ever had any class? He of stained blue dress fame. I'm afraid the two of them are going to be like Michael Meyers of the Halloween series movies. They just keep coming back, and back, and back. Sort of like the relatives who don't want to leave after the Thanksgiving day is done. Clinton Camp Says It Will Use The Nuclear Option

If the Clinton machine gets away with changing the rules after all parties agreed to abide by them, then the Republicans deserve to win. It's all about this bruja and her unbridled lust for power. She could give a good cra* less about the "party." Just think for a minute if she prevails and gets the nomination -- we get two candidates who both enthusiastically supported the Iraq war in 2002-2003, one a fuzzy minded Republican geezer, and the other a lying, scheming wannabe Republican in Democrats' clothing.

Some choice, eh?

All we can do is pray that the good people of Indiana and North Carolina drive a stake through her political heart and end the Clinton curse forever. But then again, a lot of my fellow Dems voted for little Bush, some twice. Scary!!! posted 05/05/2008 at 13:39:23
Hillary Clinton is not a Democrat in the same sense that her party predecessors were. She is simply ruthless, opportunistic, pandering, mendacious, and a real elitist at heart. She and her minions really feel entitled to the nomination and the presidency, and to hell with the Democrat Party. Good God, why in the world can't joe sixpack see through her thin veneer? Someone posted a great contrast between Obama's 20 years in his Wright run church, and her 30 years married to a disgrace of a husband, father, and president. Why didn't she cut him loose? The answer is obvious... Power.

What person can honestly say he or she whould want his son or daughter to grow up and be a president like Bill Clinton? Please, let's end the Bush/Clinton/Bush national nightmare once and for all. She is one of the most shameless politicians I've ever seen in my long life. As a life-long Democrat, there is no way I will ever vote for her, even at gunpoint. posted 05/05/2008 at 08:34:01

Clinton Gas Tax Holiday: Hillary Attacks Economists

I can never understand the MSM's avoidance of posing this (Wal-Mart) issue to Clinton. I'd love to hear her explain those years. Of course, the MSM has hammered Obama on everything, from Wright, to Ayers, to flag pins, to hand over heart, to Michell Obama's statements. Shows like Morning Joe, Race to the Whitehouse, and the Situation Room, plus everything on Fox are travesties to the common sense and intelligence of most Americans. posted 05/05/2008 at 22:20:42
Having taught economics at the university level, my sense of this issue is that all the "elite" economists are correct. Clinton will obviously say or do anything to get votes. She is shameless, as is her husband. There isn't, to paraphrase what George Wallace said a generation ago, "not a dime's worth of difference" between Clinton and the the Republicans. Richard Nixon was more credible than Clinton, and he was pretty low on the honesty scale.

In addition to all this, just how does Clinton explain how she will actually get the 14.3 cents per gallon tax suspended? It won't happen. The economic costs for doing so will more than erase the $30.00 savings to the average driver.

Shame on you Hillary Clinton for being such a liar. Definitely not presidential material, only the illusion of presidential material. posted 05/05/2008 at 22:16:47

I am no Hillary supporter, never have been, and never will be. Bernstein's brilliant piece just underscores how HRC has gotten a pretty good pass from the MSM. She should be beaten every day in the MSM about her associations with radical groups 40 years ago, with the fact that she, for all her "blue-collar" appeal, sat on the board of directors of Wal-Mart, the Webb Hubbell scandal, travelgate, the magical appearance of missing Rose Law firm documents after their value was nil, her 1993-94 health-care fiasco, and so on. I think Clinton would be, should she become president, one of the most divisive in history.

There are just not enough adjectives to describe her, but here, in no particular order is a start ---
mendacious, arrogant, untruthful, condescending, manipulative, expedient, fake, pompous, mean-spirited, duplicitous, pandering, greedy, needy, self-centered, disloyal, dismissive, affrontive, foul-mouthed.

I'm sure there are many more. Who in his or her right mind would want this bruja and her band of merry loyalists, Carville, Begala, Press, Cantor, Ickes, and so on, and on, to be entrenched like ticks in our government for at least four years? The very thought of having to watch her bulging eyes, her bobble-headed condescending nods to whatever audience she is addressing, her cackle, and certain knowledge that almost everything that comes out of her mouth is shaded in some way is repugnant. posted 05/03/2008 at 05:31:14

Obama Rolls On

Should Clinton win the nomination, I will vote for McCain. My reasoning is that it is better to endure four years of McCain than eight years of Clinton. If Clinton is the nominee and loses to McCain, she is finished. Obama can come back in 2012 and win it all. If Hillary were to win the general, it will be, as many have posted, four years of sleaze, gridlock, pandering to special friends, probably more scandals, and in some ways, worst of all, seeing Bill Clinton back in the White House. If we elect Clinton, we are far more stupid than I think, because after all, we elected Bush twice. Okay, once. posted 05/02/2008 at 05:43:21

The costs of her arrogance have been, continue to be, and will be for years to come, staggering. Her stupid vote has contributed to our enormous national debt, and seriously damaged economy due to deficit spending for the Iraq war. She, in part is to blame for over 4,000 dead American men and women, over 30,000 with serious wounds, and over 100,000 dead Iraqis. Last Night Clinton Won the Pennsylvania Primary, but Lost the War for the Nomination

Obama really can win in November. I don't think Hillary would stand a chance. But if she somehow got the nomination, she would play the age and "I'm a woman" cards. I will never vote for Clinton, and I am a lifetime Dem. Not one of my neighbors will vote for her either. Most say they will either vote for McCain, or not vote at all. She brings out those strong feelings because it doesn't take much to see her for the phony that she truly is. posted 04/23/2008 at 11:19:15
You're probably right; that tactic didn't work with Freddy Kruger or Michael Myers either. The only way she can win is to become the evil witch that she really is underneath all those fake smiles. Obama needs to nuke her over her so-called "experience," her really mediocre Senate record (not one major bill did she originate), and then of course, her vote to give Bush a blank check on Iraq without ever actually reading the intelligence. Indirectly, her stupidity contributed to over 4,000 American deaths, 30,000 American wounded, over 100,000 Iraqi dead, and the absolute destruction of our economy in part because of the deficit spending for the war that she helped make possible.

She is the worst of hypocrites. And further, how any "blue-collar" worker could possibly think she is on his or her side is mystifying. No one who sits, as she did for some seven years, on the Wal-Mart Board of Directors is any friend of the "blue collar" workers. posted 04/23/2008 at 11:12:46

He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. *That's* the *Chicago* way! And that's how you get Capone. Now do you want to do that? Are you ready to do that?"

Just substitute Clinton for Capone. and that's it. Obama needs to do just that, or at least have his surrogates do it.

Clinton has gotten a huge free pass about her White House years and the scandals, Slam her! Remind people that SHE voted to give Bush a blank check on Iraq without even reading the intelligence reports. She is a fraud and apparently people need to be reminded of this. posted 04/23/2008 at 13:38:57

The Dick Morris piece is fascinating. Hillary is such a hypocrite, and worse, a living symbol of mendacity taken to its extremes. If anything, the press has given her a free ride. Were the MSM to delve into her goings-on during the 1990s with the same fervor they showed with the Obama Rev. Joe Scarborough Walks Off MSNBC's "Race To The White House" After Exchange With Rachel Maddow

Joe Scarborough was a second-rate Florida politician who got real lucky and was elected in the 1994 Republican Revolution. His legislative record is a joke. He is really fortunate to have a job with MSNBC. I liked Morning Joe at the beginning, but now, I usually check to see if he's there, and if so 9 times out of 10 go to CNN or CNN Morning Express. He is just unbearable. A few months ago, he had Mike Huckabee on every other day. He's worse than Lou Dobbs and Sean Hannity combined.

Rachel Maddow's keen insight and demeanor are a refreshing change. John Harwood is also tops. Micka is just too meeka for my tastes. Scarbourogh needs to go. The latest baby-like behavior reflects his inner bully. I won't watch The 6:00 PM Gregory show if he's on it. posted 04/18/2008 at 22:16:06

It's easy to detect when Clinton is lying. She does it unconsciously, but I see the pattern clearly. It goes like this: When she's about to lie, or exaggerate, she will begin her sentence with, "You know," and then tell the lie or exaggerate. She will also sprinkle the phrase "you know" throughout her speech or dialog. She has done this in television interviews, as guests on shows like Leno or Ellen and in hundreds of political addresses. Just watch her, you'll see. She is shameless. Shameless and wants nothing more than to vindicate herself as the failed wife of a mediocre president and morally reprehensible human being. Make no mistake, the "long knives" around her (i.e., Begala, Carville, Davis) are going to try to inflict serious damage on Obama. There is an almost evil calculation to all this, and it is that if Hillary can't win in 2008, neither will Obama, which sets her up for the 2012 run against an almost certain too old, too reckless McCain. posted 03/30/2008 at 06:00:21
