I find it bizairre frankly that this continues. Strategic voting is clearly going to be the curse of the day. In Pennsylvania more registered Democrats than ever , they are not quite sure where 10 000 extra ones have come over from, while Rush Limbaugh is chuckling away and encouraging Reps to vote Dem to spin out the race. Is that peoples idea of a free and fair democracy? It might be free but it sure isn't fair. Lets hope Limbaugh gets his just reward in court as well as all Rep voters who are being frankly unpatriotic and unamerican in their fear of losing the general. Only in a truly corrupt political system would a presidential candidate tell us her campaign donors who created a financial crisis should be the ones appointed to fix that same crisis. That's precisely what's happening right now. As the Associated Press reports:

Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton called on President Bush on Monday to appoint "an emergency working group on foreclosures" to recommend new ways to confront the nation's housing finance troubles. The New York senator said the panel should be led by financial experts such as Robert Rubin, who was treasury secretary in her husband's administration, and former Federal Reserve chairmen Alan Greenspan and Paul Volcker.
So let me get this straight - people who created the current financial crisis like Alan Greenspan and Citigroup's Bob Rubin (the latter who raises big cash for Clinton) - these are the people we should trust to fix it? And even worse, we should trust Rubin - a guy who will personally profit from a government bailout - to be on the commission that would shape that bailout?

HE'S BACK: Bill Clinton's Campaign Remarks

As a UK citizen and an admirer of the US constitution and electoral system for free and fair democracy, I find it bizairre that Hillary and BIll should have even been allowed to run a campaign for nominee and then President in the first place. Is anyone seriously suggesting that if Hillary is elected Bill will not in effect be President on decision making, or does she simply ignore her husband's decisions? Surely a third term with Bill as Shadow President is unconstitutional as well as undemocratic. We don't after all live in a dynastic dictatorship do we where familys can duck the rule that we need to be elected for two terms so that their wives can occupy the position of Commander in Chief? McCain Spiritual Guide Accused Gov't Of Enabling 'Black Genocide'

The juxtaposition of Pastor Wright's views and Rev. Parsley's views (and other extreme right wing religious endorsers of McCain) are striking. Pastor Wright 's full sermon basically said that we could not with a clear conscience say God Bless America because of USA's record of atrocities against Japan and other countries, and that we need to reassess our actions in the use of military force in order to receive God's blessing. Parsley on the other hand is basically of the view that in order to fulfill God's plan and receive his blessing we have to drop a nucleur bomb on Iran and that this will be a way to hasten the rapture and Armageddon. In other words, Wright is basically saying we need to be peaceful in order to be blessed by God. Parsley is basically saying we have to use violence in order to secure God's blessing.
