Do you have bad or crooked teeth? Some won't hire you -- they will think, like the previous poster, that if you can't take care of your teeth then you can't take care of business. Never mind, of course, the cost of cosmetic dentistry. They will hire the person with bleached teeth, or those whose parents could afford orthodontic surgery.

Are you unattractive? Maybe -- dare we say -- even ugly? No one wants to look at that all day, not when attractive people are applying. Better get a nose job, a facial peel, a chin implant......better NOT look like your Uncle Irwin.

Discrimination happens, but it's rarely based on some acute sense of perception.

Costs to society? Well John Ridley, I'd like not to hire people who have road rage, which also costs society countless millions. I'd like not to hire people who had children they really didn't want -- because lousy parenting really is the bane of America's existence, filling up our prisons, youth centers, and streets with young drug abusers, gang members, and violent people. While we're at it, can I please not hire people who don't recycle? How much does that cost? Oh gee, there are so many ways I'd really like to discriminate. . .can I not hire people who voted for Bush? When two states are thrown out, and all those voters are silenced, it's hard to respect the politics of the Party.

It is not the fault of Michigan and Florida voters that the votes were held outside of a timeline. It is, and will be the fault of the Democratic party, to nullify those voters in total. posted 03/26/2008 at 19:05:02

Oh please. These conspiracy theories are really getting out of hand. Bill Clinton was in Washington for 8 years. Almost everyone who has any long time government experience in D.C. has a connection to Bill Clinton.

Maura Hardy also has connections to Bush, but that is not a convenient way to destroy Clinton, is it? Instead, let's just speculate wildly and cast shadows on the opponent.

This is much ado and drama over what (so far, reported facts say) amounts to nothing more than the curiosity of three contract employees, who either were just that -- curious -- or thought they'd make a mint selling whatever info they obtained.

To stretch this out and blame Clinton in some backhanded way is just ridiculous. Almost everyone who has been in Washington for any length of time has some ties to the Clintons.
