McCain Forgets Canada In Obama Attack

I am not as pessimistic as you are, tea in the harbor. We the people have a few arrows left in our quiver. But "for security reasons" we won't reveal them just now. posted 07/24/2008 at 22:10:14

Cps ... it's probably already in the bag, with the electronic voting machines that can be rigged. But I think if they do it this time, they''ll have pure and peaceful commun ism throughout the land. The backlash will be unstoppable. posted 07/24/2008 at 22:05:39

Female suicide bomber kills 8 in Iraq

Obama Berlin Speech: See Video, Photos, Full Speech Transcript

The part of the speech (and I only heard small excerpts) is the part about how countries should not have walls dividing them, and he was speaking to Germans who KNOW ALL ABOUT THAT. I'm sure two of the "walls" Obama was referring to were the wall being built by the Isra elis to keep out the Palest ininans from their land, and the wall between us, the U.S. and Mexico, to keep the desperate southerners away. That to me made the speech in TierGarten, Berlin memorable, and for posterity. posted 07/24/2008 at 22:30:22

The Surge or the Surge?

All day, today, July 24th, Fox/Faux/Fixxed News, and other TV sources have been hyperventilating about Obama not acknowledging that the "surge" has been "a success". So, my advice to the Obama camp is to defang them and declare "the surge has been a success", end of discussion. It worked with the "lapel pin" kerfuffle. posted 07/24/2008 at 22:22:58

Schumer: A 60-Seat Majority Is Possible

Sounds like a plan, nellie. Well put. posted 07/23/2008 at 22:49:59
Never mind that the righties right now own 90 percent of the airwaves in the hinterland. You can do a lot with that, yuppies of the left and right coasts be damned.

First thing we do when Obama gets in we reform the FCC and restore balance in media ownership. Fox affiliates will be gone for a start. And networks will be sorry they gave Rush and Hannity such generous packages. posted 07/23/2008 at 22:44:02

In the future, I'd like to see us rejoin the rest of the world and have a "democracy" that includes more than two parties. In the meantime, I agree with Senator Schumer that the Democrats will have "60" votes. But if many of those democrats are DINOs (Democrats-in-name-only") we won't progress very much on our agenda. posted 07/23/2008 at 22:32:09

Yes, that's the plan. Keep the race looking "close" till the end, so that advertisers can rake in the big bucks. In the end I see an Obama landslide. If you remove the republican voting shenanigans, it'll still be a clear win. posted 07/23/2008 at 23:01:33

Why John McCain's "Surge" Success Story is a Lie

Mr. Palermo,

The way to end the occupation(s) is to let them "declare victory". So please let them do that! Lives will be saved. So let them spin the "surge" any old way they want. If you let them declare "victory" then Obama can concentrate on his "other" differences with McCain, and I think he'll win on them all. I want a new direction in this country, and an end to the ruinous conflicts, and so, to hell with history, let them "win", and then get back to a normal, sane life, HERE, and now, or soon. posted 07/23/2008 at 22:27:31

The 100 Years War

Bill-- the war is a success if you subscribe to the "shock doctrine" as Naomi Klein illustrates it, brilliantly, in her book, case by case, country by country. This war is an anomaly, a war declared on blatant lies and for transparent interests, the chosen few oil companies of the U.S., Britain, the Netherlands and France. No wonder the shrub was able to roust a "coalition". It's a crying shame of a war, and history will not be kind to it, no matter what revisionism the Bushies try to orchestrate. posted 03/22/2008 at 17:27:57
