Well, what an article! Being an old Right Wing Retired Military Man, I have to take much exception to most of it. So let’s start from the top with “as if any nation would make war on a country with enough nuclear weapons to annihilate the entire world.� You destroy your point in the first paragraph. It takes a lot of machismo and really big balls to push the button and destroy a large portion of the world. Kennedy had them and Khruschev knew it. Johnson didn’t and Khruschev knew that too. If the other nations who now have or may soon have the “Bomb� don’t think our leaders have them they will attack us. Next “They still haven't adjusted to the reality that nations aren't a threat any more� So is Korea, who is making nukes as fast as they can and has in the past and will in the future sell their technology to the highest bidder, not a nation? How about China, those pagans of freedom, who will probably attack Taiwan in the near future and force us to stand behind our treaties or back down? Large balls will be required then, yes?
