At least 28 percent of them are ecstatic, all 28 percenters feel he is a god. I'm sad though that there are that many deluded individuals that live in this country. You would think with the internet, TV, radio that they would be more informed, and would renounce his criminal behavior. posted 07/08/2008 at 21:31:54

Actually I thought those were flattering drawings of Bill, they were how can I say it, better looking than the original. Besides Bill us educated individuals know the difference between a PHOTO and a DRAWING. See it works this way people do not expect a high degree of accuracy for a DRAWING, but they beleive a PHOTO is exactly like the individual it shows. Ahhhh yes comparing Apples and Rocks good ole Bill good for a laugh, I just hate to think how ill informed his viewers are. posted 07/08/2008 at 14:05:58

McCain: Obama Will Take Away Your Crocs

Actually not all old people are what you claim, I will admit many of them do watch Fox but it is more of a regional thing for example many younger viewers in California watch O'Really where as In Tennesee mostly older folk. Point is it is a bad idea to try and catagorize anyone as a group, it never works, we are all individuals, but I guess growing up with the media telling you waht the polls say makes you automatically place people in catagories that do nto always fit. You have to remeber most of the old people you speak of were the war protestors of the 60's, think about it. posted 07/08/2008 at 09:39:10

Scooter Mileage Picks Up With Latest Gas And Electric Scooters

Most foreign countries have used this type of transportation for years. Here in this country it is not as practical because of the further distances to get from point A to point B, were as in Europe you can do all of your shopping for everyday needs within a few miles of your home. Ten Years Ago, Bin Laden Demanded Barrel Of Oil Should Cost $144

Really and your information comes from where? Where is the quote? Or do you just make claims that have no basis in fact or reality. Fact is GW has done his master bidding, by starting an unecessary war, destabilizing the region, and allowing speculators to run up the price. All of these combined have made OBL's dream come true. I'm also sure it is the wish of all of Bush's oil freinds as they are reaping maximum profits since to get the oil on average costs 30-40 dollars a barrel. posted 07/05/2008 at 18:21:26

I actually think they might say, why have we all taken what has gone on in this country sitting down. They founded this country on a few simple freedoms, freedoms they never had under the oppression of the crown. For example they never had religious freedom to worship how they wanted, the crown seen to it that everyone worshiped they way the crown did. Anyone caught not observing religion the way the crown did were imprisoned. We have not gotten to that point but certainly GW and crew has tried too, this country from a religious standpoint has begun to turn in to the Europe of the 1700's, where religious choice is suppressed and decisions of the government are based on religious beliefs rather then common sense and the law. After all didn't GW say that god told him to attack Iraq? Also did he not say it was a crusade? From where I sit these were decisions based on his religious faith and not common sense or the law. Still I think the founding father would question us citizens for taking all of this sitting down. posted 07/05/2008 at 13:47:52

Of course you are, probably because you agree with all that Bush has done. Frankly I do not and neither do 80 percent of the population. Frankly speaking we are given the right to redress our grievances, and as it stands right now this is the only way we can, the government has been hijacked by crazy conservatives that are unwilling to compromise. what is worse is they represent only about 20 percent of the population. Congress is broken due to filibuster after filibuster, and you applaud citizens who are shut up and hauled away. Snow In July Mixed Blessing For Northern Rockies

Ya know if you educated yourself you would see this is part of the same issue, instead you take the attitude of if it aint 110 degrees at the north pole there is no such thing as global warming. Global warming will cause all kinds of strange weather, cold and hot this isi primarily due to weather patterens shifting. One other possible senario that will result in record cold temps in England will be due to a slow down of the gulf stream currents, but you like many others will claim, see there is no global warming London has 10 feet of snow, when the cause of the slow down of the gulf stream is excess fresh water entering the north atlantic from melting glaciers. Is ok you can continue with your attitude we will not have to wait on you, because if we did it would be too late, just consider the rest of us as good stewards to the planet who are willing to sacrafice to help all of us. posted 07/02/2008 at 13:06:40

Reminds me of what I overheard in 2004 a discussion of two women and why they were voting for Bush one said I like his relationship with his wife the other said I like his hair. Now if those are not the best reason to vote for someone for president I do not know what is and apparently this women has some kind of infatuation with McCain that has nothing to do with being presidential either. Frankly I'm beginning to feel that people should be required to take a short test in order to qualify to vote. At least know what the job of president is and vote accordingly. Solar Energy Projects Frozen By Federal Government

Actually if you look at how many NEW olil leases have been granted on public landrecently you would see this is nothing more then a stalling tatic to stop solar energy from getting firm foothold over oil. posted 06/27/2008 at 14:02:17

I can hear you say take out a loan, sure except with the downturn in housing markets most people are already upside down and can't get another loan. The reasoning behind it is they avoid having to spend billions building new power plants. posted 06/27/2008 at 13:59:50

On the surface I do not disagreee with the decision, what I do disagree with is the fact that no one seems to hold individual gun users accountable, such a crimminal activity, they can shoot someone go to jail for a few years and get out. I think we should go back to what it used to be use a gun in any crime regrardless of circumstance and go to jail for 20 years minimum. Makes the idea of using a gun to commit a crime a big deal. Alos with effective regisration etc when someon is arrrested with an unregisterd gun rather then a fine or some other misdemneanor punishment they should also go to prison minimum of 5 years. Of course the big thing will be we would need twice as prisons, at least in the short term after the revolving door si stopped the population in prison will eventually go down. posted 06/26/2008 at 15:16:01

Daniel Yergin, Oil Expert, Doesn't Blame Speculators For Oil Prices

All of what you said has some truth to it but the oil figures of the last 4 years shows more supply then demand by about 4 million barrels, although that is pretty small amount it is a surplus none the less. I think more then anything there is oodles of investor money chasing a limited supply of oil futures shich is driving the price vs the actual scarcity used for refining. BTW the last quarter of 2007 and the first of 2008 showed a decrease in world consumption of crude by about 4 percent. Compared to the average of the first half of 2007. posted 06/27/2008 at 22:13:25
Really? Then explain the 4 million barrel surplus that has accrued over the last 4 years then. If you would care to do some research you will find figures from the oil industry itself shows that they have produced more crude then they have used in the last 4 years. Kind of shoots a hole in the ole supply and demand excuse. Although oil is finite there is plenty at the moment considering even our own industry in this country has turned of producing wells to keep the availability of oil lower then it could be. Still a person would think that a surplus of crude would keep the price low, so what is driving it? What has changed? These are the questions you have to ask and not some half baked idea that it is supply and demand, by that analogy the amount it went up would indicate that use went way up as well when in fact it has dropped off in the last quarter of 2007 and the first quarter of 2008 yet the price keeps going up. We will all wait for your educated response since the rest of use are all dummies at least that is your claim. posted 06/27/2008 at 22:02:11

I think that maybe Daniel is trying to explain awaythe reasons, also one migh tnote that over the last 4 years the production has been more then the demand another fact that tends to eliminate the suppply and demand arguement. Although you MAY have a point the real issue here is no one you are referring to has a radio show. That being said Imus should remember what it is he is doing and what this type of thing will bring. Frankly when I read it I thought what the hell difference does it make? It was and is an irrelevent question. But you go ahead and defend it, I love the, well everyone does it excuse though something a 10 year old uses to defend his or her poor judgement, still doesn't make it right. posted 06/24/2008 at 00:25:17

Obama's Ethanol Support Shared By Many Advisers

It certainly could be worse he could be in bed with big oil like others we only know so well. Besides no one gave one crap aboot GW and Cheney's ties to big oil why should we be that concerend about Obama showing up at an ethanol plant opening. It isn't like he is working in the industry like Cheney and Bush did, give me a friggin break. posted 06/23/2008 at 12:10:09

Three Women Who MIght Join The McCain Ticket

Many women prefer their right to choose, besides I thought the matra of republicans was less governement, less regulation, and fiscal responsibility. Apparently someone somewhere has forgotten that, not that I would vote for any anal retentive republican, history has proven time and again they are generally bad for the well being of the country and the current regime is no different. posted 06/22/2008 at 19:08:24

US energy chief: Low oil production drives price

Apparently this guy can't read numbers over the last 4 years more oil has been produced then used. (don;t believe me google it) Of course that does not mean that refiners have purposely cut production which has been shown in many cases refiners are at about 85 percent capacity, some are even trying to shut down whole refineries, shell tried to shut one down in Bakersfield a few years back because they did not want to run it anymore, something to do with not being modern enough. they were convinced through incentives to keep it running, I'm sure they were counting on that. The real issue is we have to hurt the oil companies where they live we need to reduce our consumption and say hell no to high prices once they figure out that they are not selling fuel, they will reduce prices just to sell it, hopefully by then we have all gotten off of our oil addiction and the oil barons suffer like we have have for many years. posted 06/21/2008 at 16:53:46

Obama-Carter Comparisons Dubious

Funny thing is I lived during Carters term and for the most part he was ridden hard by congress they manipulated and distorted his well meaning actions into unbelievable crap. Case in point the Hostage situation, congress ultimately stopped any rescue attempts after the first failed one, but Regan used it to show how Carter was incompetent when it was really congress who was messing with getting them released, ultimately Regan made a deal with the terrorists something Carter refused to do. Sure the hostages were released by Regan's deal but it also showed the world that the United States would negotiate with terrorists, I firmly believe that is why we have had several terrorists attacks since. To top all of this off with Bush's bumbles the terrorists are celebrating his idiotic actions, which McCain will continue. We cannot afford 4 more years of the same. posted 06/21/2008 at 22:39:14

SO general tey were wrong when 4 gernerals resigned because REumsfeld was charaterized as bull headed and tended ot shut up any bad information? Another question so Rumsfeld did nto say you go to war with the army you have not the one you hope for? Anyone who buys th eBS is no better then the morons that gou us here. I especially liek where the pentagon men say but it was not us it was the CIA and state department. Question so the pentagon is responsibl efo rwaging war but some how the State department and the CIA messed that up? Really I guess it was the CIA or the state department that gave all those no bid contracts to KBR then, maybe it was the CIA that did not armor the vehicles properly in Iraq or was that the state department? Oil Industry Cheers McCain's Energy Policies

Of course they do, see it is like this, the cost to get oil out of the ground is about 30 dollars a barrel the more they can pump the more profit the oil company can make that is until the price comes down which it won' t because of other factors. Makes you wonder though who is McCain working for? Us or the oil barons. posted 06/20/2008 at 00:07:24

Will Obama's Reassurances To Iraqi Officials Upset His Base?

I think most people will agree that Iraq was a wrong choice. Afghanistan was not abandoning Afghanistan was a mistake which allowed OBL to escape and to further build his organization. Obama is intelligent enough to see that he is also intelligent enough to realize that nothing will get taken care of in Iraq as long as we stay. How hard is that all to figure out? You seem to be deluded that Progressives are very anti war regardless. I thin you assume that there is no compromise in anybody"s mind, apparently you confuse progressives with republicans which all talk party line and are of one mind kind of like the Borg. Progressives are not, and most understand that compromise is how things get done. Bush bots are locked into my way, or no way, hence the problem in Iraq with the attitude of gun boat diplomacy it is time to stop shooting and talk to get things ironed out. Afghanistan needs to have more troops in order to get OBL and bring him to justice, can"t do that with all the troops in Iraq. posted 06/18/2008 at 21:05:03

Bush To Echo McCain's Plan To Drill In Oceans

Why not google it? I found that over the last 4 years that supply was abouti 4 million barrels more than demand. The first quarter of 2008 they were equal. Only one year in the last 4 had a higher demand then supply that was 2007. Funny thing is it was lower production then any other previous year. I found a web page unfortunatly I cannot past the link due to a bad word filter deletes my post, and I cannto see th ebad word. Just google Oil production vs. Demand, and you can go to a link called peak oil debunked. It is quite interesting. posted 06/18/2008 at 00:38:17
Got news for you there skippy, even if we drilled everywhere there was oil in the US it would not make us energy independent, there is simply too little oil. For example Anwar has an estimated 6 month supply, what needs to be done is legislation to encouage alternative fuel research, simply doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is insane. posted 06/17/2008 at 23:57:21
I have a better one for you, why not uncap all the inactive oil wells that are dry land? Seems to me if the problem was a shortage they could re-start the exsiting oil wells, the truth is that there is a surplus oil on the market putting more oil on the market wiil not help. What is happening is manipulation of the price through speculation that is the real problem. Pumping more oil will only put more money in the pockets of people who do not need it. posted 06/17/2008 at 23:53:57
The windfall for the oil compnies, they will drill the price of oil will still be at least twice what it costs to pump and we will still pay 5 dollars a gallon and Bush and his oily friends get richer. When will we WAKE UP? posted 06/17/2008 at 23:43:48

Texas GOP Pin Asks: "If Obama Is President, Will We Still Call It The White House?"

Personally I would condem them the same way, difference is you will never see democrats stooping to these levels. Also I might point out to those of you that do not remember at the last GOP convention they handed out purple heart bandaids, another disgusting, low brow, uncalled for action. But the GOP got away with those bandaids and this pin will serve to cement their base and take a few Democrats that also feel the same way. The very ones that make a big stink about not wearing a flag pin as if it were all SO IMPORTANT when it menas nothing, esepcially since Chimpy wears one all the time and look at the deestruction he has brought on this country. Besides this is not about how well of a trial they get it is about the fact they have been denied the basic right to question their incacertation. To date I would say a majority are there for no valid reason, they have let quite a few out who were innocent, others have stated at least half are not guilty of anything. Still there they are sitting is a cell probably wrongfully incarcerated. Bush Orders Final Attempt To Get Bin Laden Before He Leaves Office

Sure they will, we have done it time and again, every person we have ever put in place or had dealings with has been thrown under the bus. US history is littered with people we have propped, and later got rid of. Saddam is one he was our man fighting the Iranians, OBL was ours too he was used to help fight Russia in Afganistan, Noriega was another, Marcos yet another. I'm sure there are way more that are not as notorious, but we always do in people we have used when they are no longer useful. posted 06/15/2008 at 22:19:57

McCain: Guantanamo Decision One Of the Worst Ever

Did you read Scallia's opinion on this? I thought I was reading a script from Faux News he was saying this just allows the terrorists to come atttack us. I swear I do not know how he came to that conclusion, it seems pretty far fetched to me. I can only think that giving these prisoners rights will only elevate us to a higher road. I guess Scallia wants to keep us on the low road for some sick reason. posted 06/14/2008 at 21:57:24
Actually the detainees were brought to GITMO to circumvent the need to give these prisoners due process. An end run around the constitution, and McCain seems to agree with that situation, it is a good thing the court has repeatably disagreed although this time around it was pretty close. Army's PR Shop Spreading Partisan Attacks On Obama

Again here is a perfect example of how not to support the troops, first thing a non thinking person does is categorize a group of people and start calling them names. I have one question for you. Have you ever been in the military? Have you ever looked at the enemy through a gun sight? Until you have you should consider this. People have volunteered to protect your sorry ass, they do not question their orders they follow them for good reason if they question everything they are dead. They certainly are not ou there in Iraq out of stupidity as you contend. Sure there are some bad things that happen but then bad things happen here as well murders robberies etc. The military is a reflection of its own society, if you have a complaint direct it at the ones that started this war not the ones tasked with carrying out the orders, because I can assure you if you were to ask the soldiers they would rather be here with their families instead of in Iraq. I ran into your type during Vietnam, your type gains all of the benefits of the military doing their job and did not have to sacrifice a single thing for it. Next time you want to call a soldier an idiot, hold your tongue, your right to say that was given to you by a soldier"s sacrifice, but insults are not a good exercise of your freedom of speech. posted 06/14/2008 at 14:30:56
I do not think what you are saying is accurate would you care to share any statistics on this? I think that the military make up would reflect the general population. I seriously doubt any one political group joins the military over any other, although looking at the young republicans in general in this country and their belief that the war should be fought by the lower class in this country. One could conclude that republicans could be under represented in the military. posted 06/14/2008 at 14:17:08

Supreme Court Rules Guantanamo Detainees Have Constitutional Right To Challenge Detention

Apparently in your reality this is true, where the rest of us sit Bush let OBL go. posted 06/12/2008 at 18:32:09
Considering that the recount and the suspension there of was not a decision that should not have been done by the Supreme court, that was a state decision one the state never got to decide. Also the only other time in history where a similar situation happened that was handled constitutionally and the decisiion was made by the US congress with the cheif justice presiding over the proceedings. The supreme court decision was wrong it violated states rights, and it was not their decision to make. Had the proper procedure been followed I doubt the outcome would have been different, but at least it would have been legitimate. posted 06/12/2008 at 18:29:05
