I am not a Democrat. Unfortunately, if I am not a Republican, I am lumped in with them as an idiot that is uninformed, unpatriotic, uneducated, a "commie", a "socialist" and a lazy, whining American that does not know what is good for me.

What I have learned watching this Presidential Election is that It's Ok to "pal around" with terrorists IF you are the President of the United States holding a 20 year history of association with the Bin Laden Family.. but not if you are a "liberal" Democrat with black skin. Surely no one can change or rehabilitate themselves over a 30 year period. Once a terrorist, always a terrorist right?

I've Learned that running a "respectful" campaign means it is fine to slander, misrepresent and basically incite people to hate as long as after they are whipped into a frenzy of fear and intolerance you "tamp it down" with a few nice words about your opponent.

I have learned that if I were a "True American" I would call people I don't know "baby killers" "terrorists", "Commies" "Faggots "Niggers" and "Gooks" (just to name a few pleasantries) but when confronted with my own racism, I should claim justification for it all by pointing to propaganda and lies in order to make it seem like I am the better person. However, other people that are celebrities and use their freedom of speech in their acts to voice opinions and anger at the unfairness are "evil" and "twisted with rage."

I have learned that a Lie isn't a lie even if you get caught in it. All you need to do is change your story, attack and blame someone else and deflect attention from the real issues.

I have learned that a President that shreds the constitution, lies to the American People to terrorize them into supporting a war that has no basis, hands out fat contracts to rich, civilian corporations to privatize the militarys day to day duties, Vetoes most decent legislature that might actually help the working class and the poor but quietly signs into law things that further subtract civil liberties, maliciously in effect eliminates Habeas Corpus, turns the national deficit into a violent, nearly impossible mess, walks all over our right to privacy, condones torture on the highest scale and turns the Global Economy on its ear causing panic not only in his own country but abroad, is what is RIGHT with America.

I have learned that even though the founding fathers of this nation were completely against religion being part of our Government, (a few, like Thomas Jefferson, were even Atheist) I should ignore that and be unsupportive of a woman's right to choose, of my fellow Americans that are gay, the poor, the working class, National health care and the education of our future generations in favor of teaching Creationism over Science, Believing in a War that is "Gods Plan", making Marriage between two consenting adults [if their gender is the same] Illegal, vilifying abortion, including killing Doctors that perform abortions no matter the circumstance and pushing a Christian agenda into a Government that is supposed to keep Church and State separate, is the better plan.

I've learned, Freedom of Religion means the freedom to believe in Jesus and only Jesus and if you believe something else you are "godless" and might be a terrorist. I've learned I need to fear anyone that isn't White and Christian because anything different is scary and evil.

I have learned that avoiding issues and attacking people that might actually have a new way of doing things is A OK and that I should be ashamed of myself for wanting the war to stop, wanting the death toll to stop, wanting poverty to stop, wanting the lies and manipulation of our Constitution to stop and wanting that $12 billion a month that is funding an unjust war to be brought home, to America, were it might help people still homeless from Katrina or Vets in desperate need of Health Care or Children that need better education.

I've learned that Global Warming is a myth and that we aren't responsible for it. I also learned that we don't need to do anything about it and that offshore drilling to further erode the shorelines of our country, endanger more of our wildlife and keep us dependant on oil is what is best for the environment and for the country.

I have learned that I am a moron for thinking that it's wrong for mobs of people in support of a Presidential Candidate to spew hate speech and lies and call it "freedom of speech", but anyone opposing their viewpoint is a "commie faggot" that needs to "get a job" and is not protected by the same "freedom".

I have learned that "liberty" means freedom to hate and legislate hatred for anyone that does not conform to the Christian, Conservative, Right Wing, Drill baby Drill, War mongering agenda.

I have learned that if I oppose the above mentioned agenda, I am misguided, hopelessly simple and obviously not an economy expert. That after the better part of 8 years of a Republican Controlled White House, I am to believe everything that is happening with not only our Domestic Economy but the Global Economy is because of two years of a "Democratic Congress" and that the current President was helpless to do anything.

I am to believe all of the problems , the bailout, the collapse of the stock market, etc happened in two short years and didn't have anything to do with the monumental cost of a pointless war, huge tax cuts for the wealthy while the middle class has carried the burden of more taxes, a rampaging cost of living that has pushed the working class into near poverty, the greed of this current administration or the trickle down economic ideals that have been around since John F. Kennedy was in office.

I have learned Liberal is a dirty word, that Community Organizers who help the homeless and the poor are to be vilified and scoffed at, that raping our land and killing our animals in the name of "progress" is All American but allowing a woman to decide what to do with her own body is murder.

I've learned that "change" is continuing the same old, GOP, business as usual politics that has been in place during the current Bush Administration and reaches back to Regan era Washington. I've learned "reform" is voting for more and more tax cuts for the rich and less coddling of the middle class and using earmarks for things other then their original purpose is acceptable except when proposed by "liberals" .

I have learned that Civil Liberties are situational, our Bill of Rights is to be ignored if it doesn't suit the President or Vice President and that the threat of Martial Law is a good way to get things done in Washington

Most of all however, I have learned that I have been asleep for 8 years while the current administration has made a huge joke out of the word "democracy", has stripped us of our constitutional rights, plundered the pensions of hard working people, blatantly killed it's own citizens in order to cause fear enough to get support for a war in the name of Profit, has left thousands more dieing everyday from the fallout of the horror that was "9/11" and then killed thousands more in that war for oil.

I can not support even one more year of this kind of government. A government that does not care for its citizens.. unless they have something to gain from them. I refuse to get into any more battle of wits with unarmed, closed minded bigots, that continue to eat up propaganda and spit it back out like mina birds with no regard for the truth or for common decency.

Go ahead and call me what you will. Spew hate my way and quote YouTube when it suits your agenda but be sure to condemn those that post things that you don't like from the same source. Show me all the commercials and "documentaries" and articles you wish to prove I am wrong, for surely they are the truth and not paid for by the propaganda machines. It's your right to do so; At least for now. I just wonder how much longer we will have actual freedom and liberty in this Country for thoughtful, intelligent "different" people . People like myself.
