But the real love of my life is painting (Oils, acrylics, watercolors) and doing pen & ink drawings (using charcoals, Prismacolor pencils, india ink). One of the joys that being an artist gives me is the politically incorrect drawings and paintings that relieve my anger over the damage done to this country by the Bush administration...the politicization of the Justice Department, the privatization of a large chunk of the Department of Defense and anywhere else where he has put his friends and supporters above the American citizens. Not to mention the total and complete incompetence shown by his appointees. I have a rather dry, sarcastic sense of humor which sometimes offends 'Gentle Readers'. I am painfully honest, caring more for truthful words than fleeting friends. Also, a proud member of NRA - Not Republican Anymore...as my extremely libral views are not shared by the folks in the GOP. One of my many weaknesses is dyslexia...which causes some pretty serious misspellings when I type here or in emails.

For the first time in my adult life I feel proud to be from TN, thanks to your comment! I am almost certain that you and I am the only people who think the same on this issue. I am sick to death of hearing that (...insert whichever lie, misinformation, or deranged logic being used to circumnavigate the Constitution on any possible argument) the President and he alone can decide what the rules are. I hope, for his own sake, he remembers how shabbily he treated those who disagree with his delusional lack of judgement when it is no longer he who has those powers.

The thing that amazes me about HRC is that her campaign is almost as good at moving goalposts as bush...of course bush's moving the goalposts concerning the Iraq war is much worse. While Hillary keeps changing what would define her victory, bush does the same exact thing...making it impossible for our brave young warriors to EVER attain victory. This is how you see America? Where have you been?? I've got to say that there is some extreme predjudice down here in Tennessee. Not from the people who are black and brown...for the most part they are very cool about the crap they have been dealt from the white folks...they are certainly more cool than I would be in their place. I've lived all over the United States and unless you have lived in the deep South you have no idea what hatred toward a large segment of the population is. Why it is always some white dude complaining about how unfair the white people are being treated by blacks?? It amazes me and reminds me how screwed up the situation is. It will probably not surprise you, Trinidad707, but I agree with most of what Reverend Wright says...even though I am a caucasion woman. I have to agree with Philosophical Potato...there is every reason to be angry. Senator Byrd, Thank you for the knowledge and reason that make you my favorite Senator. You, sir, are a true statesman...one of the few who actually stood up and voiced your objections to the immoral war that bush/cheney forced on the American people. You may be surprised to hear all the voices calling for impeachment, but to be surprised would be to misunderstand just how angry people have become watching the amoral administration screw over the people of this country.

I'm glad to know that you are recovered from your most recent hospitalization...you are living proof that you can't keep a good man down. When I watched your speech (which was recently replayed on CSPAN) before the official start of the war, it brought me to tears. I wish all the folks in Congress had been as brave and intelligent as you were. Looks like I'll have to move to your state to have a decent representative in the Senate. Again, thank you for your bravery in speaking truth to power...I only wish so many, both American military and Iraqi innocent civilians, had to die for bush's lies.
