BlondeLebanese is an addict...political, C-SPAN, coffee, cigarettes (my only drugs, currently). I admire both Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow. Love reading, mostly non-fiction books and publications are a passion. But the real love of my life (including my husband of 40 years...I married very young) is painting (Oils, acrylics, watercolors) and doing pen & ink drawings (using charcoals, Prismacolor pencils, India ink). One of the joys that being an artist gives me is the politically incorrect drawings and paintings that relieve my anger over the damage done to this country by the Bush administration...the politicization of the Justice Department, the privatization of a large chunk of the Department of Defense and anywhere else where he has put his friends and supporters above the American citizens. Not to mention the total and complete incompetence shown by his appointees. I have a rather dry, sarcastic sense of humor which sometimes offends 'Gentle Readers'. I am painfully honest, caring more for truthful words than fleeting friends. Also, a proud member of NRA - Not Republican Anymore...as my views are not shared by the folks in the GOP any longer. One of my many weaknesses is dyslexia...which causes some pretty serious misspellings when I type here or in emails. I feel that electing President Obama just may save our great nation that came close to being destroyed by George W. Bush. I fear that there will be many situations in the future where we will suffer the damage he and his regime brought upon us. God help us.
