Obama focuses on turning red states blue

Like I said before...like him or not, this is the 1st Democratic Candidate I have seen and heard in a long time, and I have seen them come and go since 1968 -- that I truly believe IS THE ONE. To have to wait all these years, since I was even too young to vote, for someone like Obama to come along --- is really something and I just cannot read enough about him.

On another note -- To the other "Obama Supporters" all over this website, I attended a house party on Sunday afternoon and I gotta tell you....I just cried for joy when I saw all the Hillary Supporters gathered there with me from all corners of South Florida to help Barack win. I truly believe if we all join forces and work together this year...we just might pull it off this time. What I am trying to say is don't believe all that silly stuff that the Hillary Supporters will not come on board. I am seeing it with my own eyes....and I am loving it!! posted 07/03/2008 at 15:13:01

Memo to Obama: Moving to the Middle is for Losers

Arianna,

I agree with you most of the time....but ALL politicians move to the middle because that is where most of the country is. Bill Clinton won twice running to the middle. I am not upset by this. They all do it; right and left. Now, if Obama tacks too far to the middle, we have a problem but I feel the basic issues he is running on.....jobs, energy, healthcare and a middle class tax cut will not only stay intact but no matter which tact Obama takes in the next months, he is sill "light years" away from the same old thing John McCain is offering. posted 07/01/2008 at 13:15:31

I have been "itching" to comment on this. The funny thing about the abortion issue is this....Where are all these people when the kids come and no one wants to adopt them? Where are they when the mother who is "doing the right thing" has to take welfare to get through it.? And there they all are on the front lawns of every womens clinic in this country shouting like fanatical zealots even though some of the women who HAVE TO go there are extremely ill or -- they go to these places for checkups.

How Obama Can Win Over Seniors and Turn the November Election Into a Democratic Landslide

I know a 78 year old white woman down here in FL who was the biggest Hillary Supporter ever.....
In a stunning turn of events, she is now supporting Obama and when he gave that recent speech at AIPAC, she cried afterwards.

I have a friend down in SO. FL who is Jewish and she and her 92 year old father were in attendance the day Obama gave that speech in Boca Raton at the Jewish Synagogue. A week after this event, my friend was gushing on the phone to me how enraptured the elderly Jewish attendees became with Obama and how this one man went on and on with his question trying to take Obama down on all the major issues and all the guests became impatient with this attendee. Obama put his hand up and said..."Let him speak...." "I know there is a question in there somewhere".......By the end of this event, he had won most of them over.

All this comes down to the title of that old song....."Getting To Know You".......as the elderly in my state begin to tune in down here.....I truly feel at least in my tri-county area that Obama just may win the State of FL this fall. posted 06/17/2008 at 16:11:41

Not Until the Fat Lady Sings

I have to tell you about this article you wrote this morning. I am also an Obama supporter who agrees with you 100%. It is not fair for Hillary to leave. I will leave that one for the voters for the states that have not voted yet. The way this Democratic process has been set up is not "winner take all" and because of that, and her hard work trying to get there....even though I do not agree at all with the way her campaign has been run, especially by her husband, having said all that, she should still stay in the race.
I was working for Hillary back before the NH Primary.....I was meeting with a great bunch of women.....and a few men, who are hellbent on getting her elected this fall here in So. Florida. I ardently wrote Hillary's campaign back then, when I saw the former president say a few "nutty things" on the stump, to get him the hell out her campaign. What I got in response...was the same standard email that everyone gets back from the Hillary Headquarters that begins...Thank you for your comments....now please go to our website and become a "Hillraiser". To compare this to other campaigns, Obama's answered my question directly to me on Iraq, and likewise, I got several letters back from John Kerry's Campaign when he ran in 2004. Having said all this, thanks for your insightful article this morning. posted 04/01/2008 at 10:44:59
