Republican from the libertarian end of the conservative spectrum. It irks me to see the Democrats propose grandiose government schemes when our Congress is so fundamentally dysfunctional and unable to manage such tasks.
It irks me even more to see so many conservatives acting like bozos these days. How are we going to convince people that conservatism has something to offer when you people make our philosophy look like a mental disease?
A healthy society needs progressive and conservative voices. Unchecked conservatism leads to stagnation. Unchecked progressivism leads to chaos. Politics is the art of finding the right balance between those world views.
This meme has a number of advantages. Most importantly, it refutes the idea that political opponents are the "enemy." They're fulfilling a necessary role, just as you are.
