Brave Warrior is a 61y/o, Vietnam era veteran. He is retired from a 30 year career, as a nurse-specializing on mental health treatment. He is a single, Chicano male who cut his teeth protesting against the War in Vietnam and racial discrimination. He chose not to have children because he feared that they would be sent off to some future war. He became a 'news junkie' during the Watergate scandal, and is a student of history. He developed a love of reading with comic books that later led him to classic literature. His most influencial book in his adolescence was 'The Wretched of the Earth' by Frantz Fanon. He has been a full time agent of social change.
He continues to believe, perhaps naively, that the most powerful force in the world is the 'truth'. He believes that he can speak to the collective unconscious of mankind. He hopes to raise the consciousness of the world. He is not discouraged by the prospect of possible failure, since he follows the 'way of the warrior'. To do his absolute best is more important than the outcome, since he understands that death is hunting him, and his time is running out. He believes that his ideas(learnt for human history)will infiltrate and influence the unconscious of even those who consciously reject his ideas. He knows that he is not alone in his struggle. He wishes well to all the other great and often anonymous warriors of mankind,-trying in their own way to save the world. He is grateful for this life that his been blessed by being able to earn a living devoted to advocating for the handicapped. All his life he has fought for the underdog.
