Since 05 September 2009, I have wrestled with my response to HuffPost's decision (in agreement with the AP) to publicly place the photo of a fallen, mutilated, and dying Marine, 21-year old Lance Corporal Joshua M. Bernard -- against his family's express wishes. It was too disrespectful for my conscience to handle. However, that stress is small consequence to the daily stress and sacrifice our valiant men and women in military uniform endure every day. And given a reflection upon the tragedy at Fort Hood, Texas just a few days ago, if I remain on HuffPost, focused as an advocate for the needs and rights of our uniformed heroes, it will benefit all who currently serve in uniform, all veterans, and the nation which I love -- the United States of America. Criticize the President (past and present) and our political and military leaders for mistakes, if you must. But current military, vets, and their families should be off limits! We need to put real action to the words, "We Support Our Troops!"

I'd love to see Single Payer and absolutely support Public Option in the Health Care Reform Act. In fact, I've let the White House know about it! Public Option is an essential, core part of real, viable Health Care Reform!
