The education cuts are designed to crush those "silly and unrealistic liberals" (our teachers) who care about children while he creates his version of a NCLB program that works about as well as gWb's does. Lou Drew Indicted In Missouri MySpace Suicide Case

Have seen this cruel nonsense all too often; it is too often tolerated or downplayed. A conviction is justified, if the mother can be shown to have contributed to the teen's distress; punishment as for manslaughter is appropriate, plus hate crimes penalties. She should serve every day of any sentence, no parole, no early release for any reason. Unfortunately, a family member has been similarly abused, with devastating and nearly similar results. Recovery is agonizing and has taken much time, lots of money. posted 05/16/2008 at 22:03:36

John McCain Trades Straight Talk for Unadulterated Fantasy

McCane has so many dreams for America and Americans, NOTHING but dreams, as he enjoys his luxury and privilege, and continues aiding his anonymous friends (where is Keating now) and BushCon sponsors. We don't need a senile clone of Bush, an old war hero about to become a war criminal by succession. Reagan made us believe that worst case, our government is only a bad movie, or a deranged version of Disneyland. Failure to impeach CheneyBush fuels the illusion that politicians can promise anything, because they'll never be held accountable. Obama's Key To The Blue Collar Vote

Enough of us have had the experience to understand that "Change" usually is an idea some new guy on the block has found to stick you with your next bad deal, and short-change you once again. The MSM seems inclined to give him a pass on the idea, which is a really bad sign for US democracy in the coming decades. If Rupert Murdoch is appointed MacCane's press secretary, it will be only Disney channel until our cable TV is removed. posted 04/06/2008 at 17:28:01

John Kerry: Obama Won't Be Swiftboated Like Me

So Mr. Kerry, who will you blame for not challenging, let alone being ready for the obvious problems in Ohio in 2004, with the GWBush state campaign chair was also the Ohio Secretary of State? Or should we be asking your VP choice, John Edwards this question, since he supported more aggressive action, but you thought it wasn't worth the bother? BTW, what's the mood on campus at Yale these days, and are there any promising members in the S&B frat gang you and W were in - probably irrelevant no doubt, but just wondering about a whole bunch of small issues. And one more thing, what kind of executive refuses to make his own best calls, and then passes blame to an advisor when it doesn't work out? Truly a silly question as the answer is: an executive just like the moron in the WH today! Shame on you, Senator Kerry! posted 04/05/2008 at 23:54:59

Wall Street Journal May Endorse For President

Soon, the WSJ will probably start feeling much better about the earlier endorsement of Hoover. Rupert, trying eating more pickles, you need to jump start the idle parts of your brain. posted 04/06/2008 at 00:04:12

Survey: "19% Say USA on Right Track." Who ARE These People?

The good news: some of those who voted for the Decider both times now believe W is a crappy pResident, and wish they had not voted for him. In that sense, W may be the "Education" President. posted 04/06/2008 at 17:18:45

Gas Prices Hit Record on Low Supplies

Looks like we need not wait decades to decide on the foresight and wisdom of Pres. W's energy policies - since we have the early results right now. The hydrogen economy is somewhere in the future, no switchgrass companies are sending product to ethanol plants, and most of President Carter's proposals to solve the energy crunch/oil shortages remain as ignored ideas long after the election of Reagan. Some would even say that none of the current crop of Presidential candidates offer much to improve things anytime soon. Yet only 80 or 81% of Americans today say things are on the wrong track! Perhaps this would be as good a time as any for VP Chjeney to come forward and explain his Federal Energy Policy Task Force secret meetings' results to assure us that all is well. Maybe Congress could encourage him with some subpoenas to testify. Then, with luck, our long wait for impeachments might finally bear productive fruit. Waiting in line to buy gas during Carter seems short by comparison. Just wondering if this is still a democratic republic or not, and hoping I'm wrong. posted 04/05/2008 at 07:13:08

Joe Lieberman Likens John McCain To JFK

I had no idea that LIEburrman was such a comedian, and from the theatre of the absurd. Very strange credentials for a politician. posted 03/30/2008 at 23:38:06

Hillary Clinton Deluged With Calls For Her Withdrawal

Hang in there, Hillary! We need a Democrat in the White House, not a cult like Obama and ObamaNation! posted 03/30/2008 at 13:38:13

Senator Leahy To Clinton: Drop Out

Looks like new leadership is needed in the Dem party - starting with Leahy, Pelosi, and Reid. posted 03/29/2008 at 13:31:47

Investment Firms Tap Fed for Billions

Two questions: first, confidence in our financial markets will be restored for investors and the public by giving money to investment banks, thus diluting the value of any dollars I have saved? And second, when will another effort be underway to privatize social security, so I can invest my retirement money in stocks like Bear Stearns? posted 03/28/2008 at 03:23:55
