McCain Plays Catch-Up: Attends German Restaurant In German Village, Ohio

I can't stand it. This is just too easy a target, so I won't even try. posted 07/24/2008 at 12:48:12

Joe Klein: John McCain's Comment On Obama Wanting To Lose War "Most Scurrilous" He's Ever Heard

Soothsayer, you have stated the case perfectly. If neighborhoods in Bagdad are more stable now, it is because they have been ethnically cleansed. The only tools Republicans are left with in their arsenal is hatred, fear-mongering, and pandering to ignorance and prejudice of every kind. They have never been afraid to use it, and now they are going to be barraging the public with bitterness, negativity and mis-information. I only hope the public is as fed up with it as I am. But there are still a lot of gullible people out there. posted 07/23/2008 at 09:58:45

Sherri Shepherd Speculates About Nonagenarian Erections (VIDEO)

A Generational Challenge to Repower America

Keep up the good fight, Al Gore. You make me proud. If you had rightly been installed nearly 8 years ago, this world would be an infinitely better place, and we'd be well on our way to fuel effiency and independance. The oil companies and those for whom a broken planet and high energy costs are a benefit will fight us with everything they've got. But we are determined to leave this world sustainable for future generations.

You are my hero. If you get asked to be VP again, or even head of the EPA, take it, for all of us.
And give Tipper a great big kiss. She would have made as great a First Lady as you would have made a President. You are my hero and an inspiration. posted 07/18/2008 at 11:21:48

Al Gore's Call for Carbon Free Electricity

Al Gore is a true American hero and a citizen of the world. He and Obama give me hope, a quality that I have missed during the last eight abysmal years. This is a defining moment in our history, and if we are to leave our children anything worth saving we MUST rise to the challenge. This is a moral imperative and a practical one as well.

We did it in World War II, we must do it now. There is going to be a lot of change, and it won't be easy. Al Gore inspired me last night, and it is now time for action. This would surely be a different, much better world had he rightly been installed as president instead of the shameful, shameless Bush. And the right would still be trying to pillory him, but he knows who he is and would have withstood it. Now we must clean up the mess and withstand the slime to be thrown non-stop from those who have eaten the earth and wiped their feet on our Constitution. But they have had their day. posted 07/18/2008 at 09:23:11

T-Ball Player In Chief: Bush Has Done Twice As Many Sports Games As Cabinet Meeting

I'd like to add a word to your rebuke.

Those poor kids. What a shame. At least Bush was doing something at his own intellectual level.

At a wedding two years ago, an in-law told me that his accomplished son had met President Bush. I congratulated him on his boy's merits and expressed regrets that Bush was the best our country could come up with, and promised not to hold it against the boy. He was not amused. posted 07/17/2008 at 10:16:02

Bush On The Environment: Top 5 Stupidest Things Said Yesterday

Sir, your selfishness is mind-boggling. You are using far, far more than your fair share. You deserve to pay $10 per gallon of gas if you drive a vehicle that gets 9mpg. It's all about you and no one else, isn't it? The fact is, oil is a finite resource and we have had 30 years to clean up the debacle that we now find ourselves in. YOU and others like you have made this planet a mess, and now you are going to have to bite the bullet.

We cannot drill ourselves out of this debacle. Continue your overconsumption and enjoy your high prices, because they aren't about to drop. In the meantime, I will adapt and try to make the world a slightly better place, unlike yourself.

Enjoy your view of the world. From where your head seems to be permanantly lodged, I doubt that it will be very bright. posted 07/18/2008 at 10:49:22

A Tale Of Two Economies: Bush, Bernanke Differ On Where US Is Heading

If his performance as President is any indicator, if he says the economy is good, then it is most assuredly bad. posted 07/16/2008 at 07:57:38

Bush: Troubled financial system is basically sound

Bush lifts oil drilling ban, wants Congress to act

Once again, the wrong man doing the wrong thing at the wrong time. We have had thirty years to fix this mess, and all the addict can come up with is more addictive behavior. What a pathetic, despicable creature. posted 07/14/2008 at 10:28:43

New Yorker, What Were You Thinking?

Spot on. Unfortunately, the irony-challenged will completely misunderstand this satire, and will work it to death. It will do so much more harm than good. A rare, unfortunate, misguided misstep for my favorite magazine. What the devil were they thinking? posted 07/14/2008 at 10:25:32

Bush: No Greenhouse Gas Regulation Under My Watch

George, old boy, we are counting the hours until the country is no longer on your watch. And when you go, be sure and cut lots of brush to get your mind off stuff. And don't call us. If there's any justice, we'll call you. Before the international courts, if there is any justice in the world. Buh bye, now. Bye! Don't go away mad, now. Just go away. posted 07/11/2008 at 09:39:16

Karl Rove, The White House And The Rule Of Law

Arlington Cemetery Trying To Impose New Restrictions On Funerals Of Iraq War Dead

While your argument is valid, I respectfully suggest that you may misunderstand the point being made. No one's personal privacy or grief should be invaded. But not being allowed to photograph soldiers' coffins being unloaded from military planes is an insult to the freedoms these soldiers have been fighting to uphold. The issue is censorship, putting up a buffer in front of the truth, and denying the public their right to know what is being perptrated by this criminal government. 'Out of sight, out of mind' is not acceptable, as is 'don't ask don't tell'. posted 07/10/2008 at 09:41:26

Study: Military Gays Don't Undermine Unit Cohesion

You are being egotistical. Gay people are already well aware of what people of their own sex look like in the shower, and don't need to troll for sex on base. That is Larry Craig's job. This is bigotry, pure and simple.

The issues are:
Can you do the job?
Can you abstain from sexual activity, homo or hetero, while on duty? posted 07/08/2008 at 09:30:39

Ex-Prosecutor Accuses Bush Of Murder In Book

Limbaugh on O'Reilly: The Man Is Ted Baxter

Couldn't disagree more. Although BIll, Rush, and Ted always get (got) their facts wrong and are blinded by egotism, Ted Baxter was lovable and the laughs were always on him. He wasn't vicious. O'Reilly and Limbaugh thrive on hatred. They are despicable.

Five People Reality TV Shows Hurt The Most

CBS's Lara Logan Slams American Coverage Of Iraq War (VIDEO)

This is a national disgrace. The MSM is so obsessed with their own bottom line that they only tell us the most 'popular' stories, as if we were all still in middle school. They have abandoned their journalistic mission. Cannot watch CNN anymore, except for Michael Ware. Lou Dobbs, who I once respected, has now become unhinged and obsessed with one story only. Now it's BBC and the web.

The Congressional revelations of two weeks ago, which in the 70s would have been front page news around the world and could have finally led to much-needed impeachment of Bush and Cheney, were put on the back burner.

As long as the MSM are part of the bottom line, you can kiss journalistic integrity goodbye. posted 06/19/2008 at 07:46:21

Joan Rivers Kicked Off Show For Calling Russell Crowe A "Fucking Shit" (VIDEO)

Vanity Fair's Michael Wolff: "If Newsweek Is Around In Five Years, I'll Buy You Dinner"

The magazine has been in such decline for years; too many cover stories on religion and trends, not nearly enough news. When they hired Karl Rove as 'contributor', they lost me. As soon as I heard of this, I cancelled my long-time subscription. I go online to get CW. posted 06/05/2008 at 15:33:36
