Now living in Florida, I am an Ohio native, brought up just off the O.S.U. campus. In between getting worked up on Huffpo, I run a small business from my home and raise two teens with my spouse of eighteen years, as well as a small brood of animals.
As you can tell from many of my posts, I am a democrat, having worked diligently to get President Obama into office. This effort was really my first journey into the political front with the idea, "there has got to be a better way." I am waiting anxiously to see if he is that better way. Civil rights and abolishing racism are a couple of my political passions. I am pro-choice and not religious (no real belief, no real disbelief, just non). I am iffy about capital punishment. On one hand, our legal system is flawed and better to error on the side of caution then put someone to death who was innocent. On the other hand, people like Joseph Duncan have no useful place on this earth, again, iffy.
On the sly, I create stained glass, do mosaics, watch movies (addict), write a bit and do a lot of home renovating (if its not unique, I don't want it). My home is sort of a halfway house for troubled teens, not necessarily by choice, but because it has just happened that way. My kids bring home lots of hungry and abused kids - sigh.
