McCain Finance Chair Quits After Making Under The Table Payments To Finance Director

Ah, yes. The straight talk express just hit a speed bump. What about Black, the lobbyists in charge of MCain's campaign? Lies, lies and more lies. Here we go again. What is it about republican politicians that they think the rules do not apply to them? McCain must have "forgotten" about the meeting he attended with the Saudis. By the way, aren't the Saudis the people who orchestrated 9/11? Should have invaded them, not Iraq. posted 05/17/2008 at 19:27:18

Obama Responds To Bush, McCain Appeasement Attack

Whoever said "Two heads are better than one" surely never imagined that the two would be Georgie and McCain!! Neither one is too intelligent. After 8 years of frat boy, we do not need even 4 years of "I was a prisoner of war 40 years ago" thrown in our faces every week. What has he done since then, apart from leave his family for a rich younger wife? The lobbyists are the ones who have benefitted from McCain's time in DC. Why do the people in his district keep voting for him? posted 05/16/2008 at 16:15:43

Unearthed: News of the Week the Mainstream Media Forgot to Report

Thank you. Anyone who does not want health care for everyone should talk to my brother-in-law. He has had eye surgery, ear surgery and radiation therapy for prostate cancer, all within the last 3 years. He is now 83 years old. He is the most up-beat person I have ever met. He says "Thank God for the National Health Services" They live near Liverpool (pop. almost 1 million) and have NEVER been on a waiting list for any medical procedure. The insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies, plus lobbyists and politicians, scare people with their stories. Everyone should see "Sicko" for a dose of the truth. The politicians should go to Canada, England and Cuba to see how their systems for health care work. They could surely come up with a plan for the US that would make more sense than what is in place now. What do politicians care, thy have wonderful health care, paid by many people who cannot afford their own. What a great country, eh??? posted 05/17/2008 at 19:20:24

My sister died a horrible death from CJD, mad cow disease. The doctors were puzzled, did not know what was wrong. Only testing a section of brain or tonsil were sure indicators of the disease. First her sight failed, then her hearing, then her ability to swallow. After the autopsy confirmed CJD, the specialist said "My mother in law passed away last year. The cause of death was listed as Alzheimers, but after seeing your sister, I am wondering if she actually had CJD". I wonder how many people have died from CJD but been recorded as Alzheimers? This is no disease to fool with, it is horrible. To stop testing is foolish. Par for the course for this administration, though. To HELL with the people. posted 05/17/2008 at 09:15:59

U.S. Military Turns Back On Neocon Chalabi Over Iran Ties

I can understand why the Bush/Cheney?Perle/Wolfowitz crowd welcomed Chalabi into their group. Birds of a feather flock together. They all speak the same language, crooks the entire group of them. Chalabi has made millions in US taxpayer money, he does not have to embezzle from banks anymore. After seeing him interviewed on "60 Minutes" I am amazed anyone would put their trust in him. He came across as a slimy opportunist, who took the administration for every dime he could get. He probably hates Americans, but as a source of income they can't be beat. Just tell them what they want to know (lie, lie, lie) and the money rolls in. Want to bet he is still on the US payroll? He knows too much to be cut loose. When he is assassinated, they will blame Al Quaida. Maybe then Georgie will give up "bahk ridin' " as a sign of solidarity. posted 05/17/2008 at 11:14:05

He has not given up bike ridin'. Truth be told he is probably a lousy golfer (like he is bad at EVERYTHING he touches) and was tired of making excuses for his "game". Everything he has ever done has turned into a disaster. He walks away, and leaves the clean up to someone else. I keep hoping his place in Paraguay will be finished early, so he can leave early. America loves Regis? Not anyone I know. He yells every third word of each sentence. It is time to retire, and give someone else a chance. I find him extremely annoying. posted 05/12/2008 at 14:34:09
Some of the sitcoms are just plain dumb. The laugh tracks are the only laughs most of them get. Try treating the US population as though they have BRAINS. Sometimes I wonder what drugs some of the writers must be on to write such nonsense. Just because the "news" people edit what they think we should be hearing, that does not mean we are morons. Also, I am tired of all the pharmaceutical commercials. A visitor to the country has to think all Americans are popping pills for every ailment known to man. They repeat the ads. over and over and over in each show. Have contests for scriptwriters, NEW ones, with fresh ideas. I see a new gameshow (or a retread) is coming up, hosted by Regis Philbin. John McCain receives over $58,000.00 per year. Why the big difference? With all the money he gets from his political wages, plus bribes, this is probably a mere pittance to him. Why doesn't he just give up this pension? Dole is the same way. These "men" are multi millionaires, yet still get free medical care, plus big pensions from taxpayers. "Idol" Slides Away: Loses 1.2 MILLION Viewers From Last Week

As soon as Jason Castro was the first one to be told "You are safe" my TV was switched off, and I am done watching the show. It is no longer a talent show when a thin, reedy voiced dweeb like him is in the top 5. More talented kids were sent home months earlier, during the try-outs. I fail to see what this kid has that is so special. He can't sing, he is not that good-looking, his hair looks like HELL, with straw intertwined. I remember one of the last interviews when two young guys were the last two interviewed. Simon wanted the dark haired kid, with the strong voice, but was out voted by the other two. He was a really nice kid, with curly black hair, horn-rimmed glasses and a GREAT voice. Obviously, they did not think he had the "look" to win the contest. With contact lenses this kid could have been very popular, he has a great personality. But they sent him home. "Ringlet boy" (my name for Jason) does not belong in this competition. He is so in love with himself, I think he is responsible for many of the calls for himself. It is over for me. Sanjaya was bad enough, but Jason is a joke. posted 05/02/2008 at 14:52:34

McCain Disability Pension Raises Questions About Health

Check YOUR FACTS. My late husband was encouraged by the family doctor to go for disability, due to injuries he suffered in Korea. He checked with the VA. He would have to take time off work and spend two days in the VA hospital being examined. This would be a recurring event, he was told. He decided he would rather WORK since he was able to, and that is what he did, until he died. McCain on the other hand, is a taker, even though he has millions, it never seems to be enough for these greedy people. posted 04/22/2008 at 18:52:39
I thought the VA had regular examinations of people on disability, checking for improvements? Since he is able to work (if you can call it that) in Washington, he should give up his pension. Disabled means "unable to work" doesn't it? Here we go again, another rich welfare recipient. No wonder the Bush family likes this guy, they all managed to get government bailouts, too. McCain was a prisoner for 6 years. For the rest of his 66 years, he has been getting free medical care, at taxpayer expense, plus his wife is a multi millionaire. How much do these greedy [eople need? He is "Johhny on the spot" when it comes to denying the young servicepeople anything they are due, though. An Outrageous Education

Why are the parents expecting the schools to raise their children for them? Maybe if young girls stopped having babies they do not know how to raise, and young guys stopped thinking having lots of children is a "badge of honor" some improvements could be made. I see girls on TV, searching for their babies fathers, one has had 10 guys tested so far, no luck!!! These babies do not stand a chance in life. At the very least a child needs to know who their father is!! I doubt anything will change in my lifetime. The parents need to take a more active roll in their kids lives. They need a family, not a "gang". When gang graffitti is discovered all known members of the gang should be rounded up, and made to clean it up. What would be wrong with that? Take responsibility for your own actions. It would be a start. posted 04/12/2008 at 08:21:03
Why are the schools always to blame.? Where are the responsible parents?? If the parents took an ACTIVE roll in raising their kids, this would not be happening. Letting the parents slide by, bearing no responsibility, shows the "kids" that it is not their fault. These thugs started as innocent children. Who let them down? What values are they taught, if any? Young people join gangs to "belong" If the families did their job, they would "belong" with their parents. Too many unwed mothers, too many irresponsible young fathers. I have seen young men on TV, bragging about how many children they have with different women. No job, but lots of kids. I see young women trying to find the fathers of their children. One has had 10 men tested so far, still no father. Maybe it is time for these young people to realise that the best thing they can give their child, at the very least, is the NAME of their father!!! Trollop?? Did his Mom whisper in his ear like Liebermann does? This sounds like a word that went out of circulation many, many years ago. Much like McCain. posted 04/08/2008 at 08:07:11
She should have packed her bags and left. It isn't as though she has no funds of her own, or family willing to help her. Libertarian Bob Barr Jumps Into Presidential Race

He went after Bill Clinton like a rabid dog. Then it came out what HIS personal life was all about. Several wives, many mistresses (hard to believe, looking at him) drunken parties. Oh, yes, he was one of the "holier than thou" group with lots of skeletons in their own closets. We do not need another high school "jock" after the cheerleader in the WH. posted 04/07/2008 at 16:29:54

McCain Gets Facts Wrong On Iraq Again

On ABC news last evening, they showed a clip of Obama giving a speech. Then they proved that what he had said was wrong. Then it was Hillary's turn, same thing. After that the subject was changed. No comparisons for McCain!!! He is being afforded the same courtesy as Georgie was, being let off the hook over and over again. The MSM is so biased it will not even report the news fairly. Then they wonder why they are losing viewers. TELL THE TRUTH, no matter how inconvenient. posted 04/06/2008 at 13:38:37

Did Rove Mastermind McCain's 'Biography Tour'?

Rove is only a "genius" compared to Georgie. My dog and cat have higher I.Q.'s than Georgie. Rove took a below average son of a privileged family, and by using tactics like only letting true blue repubs. into his "meetings", carefully kept people from seeing the real Georgie. The dumb, slow-witted Georgie showed up during the "debates" but Karen Hughes came out praising Georgie to high heaven.
Not one member of the press dug for information about the mysterious bulge under Georgie's jacket. If it was a transmitter, it did not help. He was as clueless as always. The religious "wrong" praised Georgie, knowing there would be money flowing their way if he was president. The citizens were conned, big time. Rove is no genius. He is a traitor, a coward and a sub human. He is as phony as Georgie. A small, ugly man with many secrets. The day will come when his secrets will all be revealed, and we will see the "real" Rove. The inside is as repulsive as the outside.

Joe Biden: The Surge Is A Failure

I would have expected all the justices to do the RIGHT thing, the CORRECT thing, and choose the smartest candidate. To think she voted because of friendship is deplorable. The justices are supposed to represent ALL the citizens, not just their "friends" on the right. posted 04/05/2008 at 13:07:46
This is "standard operating procedure" for Georgie. His entire life he has made one mess after another, and left it for someone else to clean up after him. His Daddy's friends usually came through, but this mess is total disaster. He was never qualified for the job, and anyone with an I.Q. higher than room temperature knew it. I especially was upset with Sandra Day O'Connor's answer to why she voted for him over Al Gore. She said "I have been friends with the elder Bush's for years, and did not want to see them disappointed" If she was a friend of this God awful family, she had to know Georgie was a mental midget. So, rather than upset her friends, she foisted this buffoon on the entire country. We are now the laughing stock of the entire world, with a fool running the show. posted 04/05/2008 at 12:18:18

Nearly 200 Removed From Texas Religious Compound

They DO take welfare. It was on TV, a special. They interviewed a man married to 3 sisters. They were on WELFARE. If they had to be self supporting, they would not have so many children. posted 04/06/2008 at 07:00:12
There was a TV special about this place a while ago. Most of the families are on welfare, and feel it is quite alright to use taxpayer money to live this way. One man was married to 3 sisters. Where were their parents, to allow this to happen? They do not want to live by the laws of the land, but expect to be supported on government money. If a group wants to live like this, let them be self supporting. They would soon change their lifestyle if they had to WORK to support these large families. posted 04/05/2008 at 10:56:41

What Did Bill Clinton Do To Get $15M From Ron Burkle?

Barbara Bush donated money for educational software for Katrina victims. The money HAD to go to her son, Neil's, company. Don't remember the amount, or even if it was published, but how about THAT for nepotism?? We all rememeber Neil, he of the S&L debacle, when he got off free, with a few million from taxpayers. Have the Bush's given anywhere near $10 million like the Clintons? GHW still charges for giving speeches. posted 04/05/2008 at 06:53:39
I agree. Bill is worth paying for when he gives speeches. Can you imagine Georgie thinking he will get anywhere close to this total when he leaves office, to "fill the ol' coffers"? He will be greeted as he was at the ballgame, with loud BOOS. The Clintons have been mercilessly examined for years. Has any other political family been investigated so much? How about GHW and Barbara? They are involved in shady dealings. Examine them, and their tax returns. posted 04/05/2008 at 06:48:50

K-Fed's Finances Revealed: Thousands In Vegas, Paid Appearances And $20,000/Month In Spears' Spousal Support

Not all golddiggers are women, obviously. This minimal talent guy hit the jackpot when he met Spears. What he did to his girlfriend at the time should have been an eye opener. She had one child, and was pregnant with another when he left for Spears. Karma, baby. The only ones I feel sorry for are the children. They will have everything money can buy, but nothing of true importance, like loving parents. Spears parents did such a great job (yeah, right) with their kids, which should have made Brittney determined to give her sons a normal life. McCain Guru Linked To Subprime Crisis

That photo of McCain and Gramm makes me wonder if they personify the future of the US? They have absolutely no light in their eyes, they have cold, dead eyes. Together these two have helped rape the US taxpayers, via the S & L scandal, plus McCain let DeLay and others who took from lobbyists to make laws go free. They are a couple of OLD, CROOKED SELFISH politicians, who do not have the best interests of the country at heart. Wendy Gramm helped Enron design their "accounting" procedures. She is waiting in the wings for a chance at the US Treasury, believe that. posted 03/30/2008 at 08:28:36
Look at the photo. Doesn't the GOP have any younger, vibrant, ALERT members who might run for office? They all look like their eyes are dead. Bush, Cheney, Rove, McCain, Gramm all look like they are soulless. God help us if McCain makes it. Think the US is a laughingstock now? What is needed is a completely new guard to take over, someone with new ideas, with the energy to see the changes implemented. McCain is too worn out to be president. He will be like Georgie, in bed by 9, with a "Do not disturb" sign on the door. I am afraid Jeb will be his choice for VP, then NOTHING will change, unless things get even worse. posted 03/29/2008 at 14:21:42

Former Secretaries Of State: Close Guantanamo

If Powell had been the man we all thought he was, Guantanamo would never have been opened. He would not have gone to the UN and lied. He would have blown the whistle on this bunch of corrupt, crooks in the administration. So, he just drove the Mustang the Saudi prince gave him, kept his son in a cushy job, and lied us into an invasion of an innocent people. He has no credibility anymore. James Baker "helped" stop the Florida recount of votes. As a friend of the Bush family, he knew Junior was a waste of space, yet still got him into office. These people are at least 6 years too late to find their voices, and backbones now. posted 03/29/2008 at 15:36:42

If Powell had found his backbone, we never would have Guantanamo, no renditions, no torture, no Abu Gharib. No thousands dead from all nations, no crushing debt. The man lost all credibility when he knowingly LIED before the UN. The administration knew people would feel that he was credible. Powell is a traitor. There was time I respected him, not any more. He is an empty suit. He made lots of money, took a Mustang from a Saudi prince, lived the "good life". In the process he sold his soul. Fade off into obscurity, Powell. Meghan McCain: "I Don't Understand Why In This Industry Of Politics, I Am An Airhead."

What do they pay you to post comments on these vapid, drunken little airheads? Georgie WAS a legacy student at Yale, meaning Daddy had to BEG them to accept him (no doubt with a large donation) since his grades were non existant. His father and grandfather attended Yale, so even though Georgie showed up for his first interview DRUNK, his father's pleadings got him in. Argentina's government wanted the twins removed from the country, when they were causing a ruckus, drunk and naked running the hallways at a hotel. They refused to leave. The drugs must have been too good, I guess. Laura would know, she was the "go to girl" for drugs when she was in college. Looks like she moved "up" to pills. posted 03/26/2008 at 15:44:26

What the hell do these people teach their kids, or don't they teach them? I remember seeing Georgie and Laura being interviewed on TV, asked how they disciplined their children, Laura said "The girls never needed discipling, they have always been good girls" Take another pill, Laura.
