I'm an Independent who often affiliates Republican in order to vote in closed primaries. However, I consider myself a conservative Democrat or a moderate Republican.

I would like Independents' to rally together to form a legitimate Independent Party. I believe in government safety nets, lower taxes for citizens and small businesses, government accountability, which means accountability that is similar to not-for profit regulations, where government must demonstrate for every dollar spent how much is delivered to the constituents, and how much is spent on administrative activities. The higher the ratio of dollars delivered to serving the target audience and the less spent on administrative services the better.

I believe in creating policy that promotes reasonable and responsible environmental safeguards, energy independence with an emphasis on creating rewards for persons, entities and industries that create alternative energies promoting environmental friendly fuels and energies that create and sustain life and environmental quality.

I support a pro-choice philosophy that promotes a "real" proactive choice platform to include: a strong adoption education and advocacy, abstinence advocacy, single mother support initiatives from junior high to Planned Parenthood services that demonstrate a preponderance and action orientation toward life.
