6 Gas-Saving Myths

#6 in the list, I believe, was referring to the product CA40. I have heard Ed Schultz promoting it, and it seems that this fuel additive works, and is now being sold to some larger trucking companies, and the military.

The author is being a bit naive to suggest that if there were a better way to get more gas mileage out of the fuel, the oil companies would do it.

Excuse me? Since when have the oil companies been interested in the public good? If we didn't have regulations and mandates we would still be using leaded gasoline. posted 05/16/2008 at 14:45:48

Welcome to the new world people!

When you go from one billion people in 1800, to seven billion now, when a natural disaster hits you're going to have a lot of death.

The last time there was an earthquake in that area there were very few deaths. Why? THERE WAS NO ONE LIVING THERE!!!!

At the very least, the US would need to keep enough troops to protect the borders, to keep more foreign fighters from coming in. Let the Iraqis work out their peace. Hell, even Iran is stepping in to help the truce.

There's going to be bloodshed no matter when we leave. And there will be blood (Sorry Daniel Day Lewis) because of our presence there. I'd rather settle for blood without more Americans dying.

"Obama - unlike Bush - doesn't require mindless acquiescence but encourages various points of view and dissent as he pointed out on Chris Matthews."

Judging by the overwhelming majority of posts in this thread, you would think otherwise. Only here would you see the Senator's continued political calculations, his refusal to take one day off from the trail to make an appearance at an event, on an important day, celebrated by the fanatics.

At yet, as I've said earlier, but likely my posts have been blocked again, if Clinton or McCain chose not to be in Memphis, they would have been demonized and "exposed" for the racists they are.

Obama was expected to be there today, and he wasn't. Yes, the media would have given him some attention, as they would for the other candidates. But this day was about Dr. King, and what he meant. If the MSM had made today about Obama, it would have been shameful, and for anyone here to be distracted by that would be equally shameful.
