Sen. Lindsey Graham Flacks McCain, Offers Hysterical Histrionics On Meet The Press

So just to be clear - It's ok for McCain and Graham to change their position's on oil drilling when it benefits them, but when Obama changes his mind on public funding, according to Graham Obama is "a typical politican who will do anything to get elected"?

How is it Mr. Graham that by not taking public funding and eliminating lobbing "typical politics"? How is it Mr. Graham that you don't hold yourself to the same standards you decry when you were caught by Williams in not 1 but 2 quoted fip-flops.

Biden is right, drilling now will do nothing to change oil prices now. It will take 5-10 years to yeild any results at best assuming there isn't an environmental catastrophy before then. posted 06/22/2008 at 16:21:39

McCain was the worst choice. He is too old. The fact he trying to be the "I'm a change agent too" is the dead give away. Unlike sexisn or racism, age is a fair metrix to questions ones physical and mental health and resilance. We already a VP running an administration, we don't need this again.

He copies everything Obama embodies but policy. The website, the solgan, now he talks of change, he's got his "Obama girl" video. Please.

Come on Jeremy, it was a decent speech but nothing historic. Rememebr this was after she took heat for being a sore-looser, breaking the party apart and not conceeding on Tuesday.

What else was she supposed to say? Obama had this in the bag after Texas, everone knew this. Staying in just hurth Obama and the party. She know this too. Now she has to work her tail off to fix it. That makes sense. posted 06/08/2008 at 21:12:08

Hillary Clinton, A Winning Speech

Sure there was sexism towards Clinton and there was also racism towards Obama.

Didn't the Clintons say, if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.... posted 06/07/2008 at 23:03:05
While a good speech for her supporters and women, I would have been more impressed had this come on Tuesday rather than saying "I'm not sure what I will be doing next" and "go to my website let me hear what you think" (with only one option).... She was pressured to conceed rather than do it graciously. How could she not realize everyone, I mean everyone let her run out the clock knowing full well it has been over for weeks and weeks.

Also, looking back she had to attack Obama personally to get this far, while Obama did it without attacking her character what so ever. Thats one of many reasons he is the best nominee. She was strong, but I hope this humbles her. posted 06/07/2008 at 22:55:38

I'm so tired of every speculating the would of, could of, should game. Would he have creamed her if the bitter comments weren't blown out proportion? What happened, happened.

She lost. He won. Maybe Obama was just the better, smarter, more resonating, more honest, more gracious, more personable candidate. posted 06/07/2008 at 20:49:01
While many won't argue it was a good speech, there wasn't one criticism towards McCain on the day the GOP list all the negative thing HRC said about Obama during the primary. Hun?

I don't know, sure the critical endorsement was there, but why say at this point "she always said she ran because she believed she was the best candidate". Hun? Does she still feel that way? What about saying Obama was the best candidate seeing he won fair and square.

One last punch in the gut , perhaps a missed opportunity by Clinton or maybe I've become jadded by Clinton's lack of grace? As the Obama campaign said about the speech " it was generous", that it was and I think generous was carefully and acurately used rather than gracious. posted 06/07/2008 at 20:43:12

Hillary Loses Again

So to be clear, some angry Clinton female supporters are going vote for Mccain who wants to take their right to choose away due to their candidate loosing (no suprise, Obamas delegate lead was insurmountable for months). That makes sense. posted 06/08/2008 at 12:35:05
Let's put this in perspective, Clinton will not go down in history as being the most pleasent, gracious or likable politican. She beat up Obama pretty hard as the GOP notes in a 3 page document.

She has a lot of repair work to do. posted 06/08/2008 at 10:16:01

Hillary Clinton Concession Speech: Suspends Campaign, Endorses Obama

Welcome aboard! posted 06/07/2008 at 15:04:05
My biggest problem with her speech is this sentence:

"Now, on a personal note, when I was asked what it means to be a woman running for president, I always gave the same answer, that I was proud to be running as a woman, but I was running because I thought I"d be the best president. " -HRC

Why would she say that in an endorsement speech for someone else who won? Does that mean she still believe she would be the best? There needs to be clarification before she would be considered for VP. posted 06/07/2008 at 15:03:14
Agreed, that was a bit of a misstep for an otherwise solid endorsement. The one jarring line she used which came off off poorly was she reiterated that she always said she was the best candidate throughout the campaign without resolve or concession.

Does that mean she still believes this, or was the endorsement of Obama the consession of that perspective? She needs to clarify this point of view if she is to be considered for VP along with all the many non-postive things she has stated about Obama.

Also, I notice she steered clear of attaching McCain. Why? posted 06/07/2008 at 14:19:22

What Bill O'Reilly Is Really Afraid Of

O'Reilly needs to be a man stand up for what he is. To continually pound the left and state he is fair and balanced is a lie and cowardice.

Just say you are bias O'Reilly like your friend Hannity and the rest of your crooked network. People would have more respect for you even though many disagree with your positions.

I have yet to hear him explain "fair and balanced" perspective when he continually refers to the left in derogatory terms or as an inferior position. That is the very definition of bias!!! posted 06/06/2008 at 11:23:01

Clinton For Vice President Movement Disavowed By Campaign

Everyone including the media needs to take a deep breath and relax. Obama will not rush to choose a VP. Yes, Clinton is a consideration, but there is a lot of things Obama will take into account and she will be vetted the same as anyone else.

We need to keep in mind, if the reality of the situation is Clinton can not accept number 2, or she will have animosity towards Obama loosing, or they can not work together then it's in the countries best interest that he go with someone else.

2 great things don't necessarily go well together. If she is best choice, he will pick her.

First though, she will concede and bring the party together. Her being VP is a separate issue. posted 06/06/2008 at 09:42:05

What Voters Saw Tuesday Night

Everyone one knew for months and most certainly after Texas, that Clintons chances were daunting at best. So, was it a surprise for Clinton on Tuesday night?

One's character and grace can not be underestimated. It can not be ignored that this was a big factor to why Clinton lost the primary. Many people analyze the technical reasons why Obama won and Clinton lost.

One reason is Obama simply has better character. posted 06/06/2008 at 09:56:50

Hillary Clinton Running For The Vice Presidency

Also, I do understand why Clinton supporters want Clinton on the ticket, but do you think they can work together effectively? Do you think Clinton can work for Obama? Do you think Bill will go away? Do you think Clinton will always feel anamosity?

If her conduct on Tuesday night was any indication, the answers are obvious.

If Obama picks her and they can work together effectively, great. If he can't govern with her, than he shouldn't to it - even if he looses the election. posted 06/05/2008 at 09:26:02
This is what Clinton supporters failed to understand during the primary. If Clinton got the nomination, all this stuff that Obama didn't expose because quite frankly, he didn't need to would ruin her in the general election anyway. posted 06/05/2008 at 09:22:11

McCain Rips Off Obama's Slogan And Logo

There is nothing more to make a candidate look blatantly weak by coping someone else"s image and message. This will back fire on McCain and strengthen Obama's core message and vision because it exposes the fact that McCain is running on Obama's core principle rather than his own.

Come on, your telling me all of a sudden a 72 year old guy is the vision of change even though he voted 95 percent of the time with Bush? Who are they trying to fool?

It makes the GOP look desperate. People will vote for the guy who embodies change, not the guy who copies it.

This is the problem with the GOP's tactics. It's old fashioned unoriginal politics. Take that awful green billboard for instance. Who's bright idea was that? Does that look like the vision of change? It doesn't make McCain look like he is in command, it makes him look like he went along with someone else"s marketing scheme. This makes McCain look clueless and out of touch, which is what he is after all.

McCain should replace the awful green monster billboard with a yellow one to symbolize the two tennis balls on the front legs of his walker. posted 06/05/2008 at 19:27:41

Rendell Tells Clinton: Don't Try To Bargain For Vice Presidential Spot

Err, actlually he had this wrpped after winning 12 in a row back in Feb. and most certainly after Texas whaich Obama won more delegates.

The very reason why popular vote isn't used as the main metric is because it's disputable due situations like caucuses and MI.

The only reason her campaign got some stream was because of 2 factors:

1. She became the champion of the working by capitalizing a silly verbal gaff by Obama and using it against him. Again, if you read his entire statement he was defending the working class. That is indesputable. Without it, she wouldn't have done so well in the last primaries which says a lot about her own strengths.

2. The state voting order after Texas was more in tune to her voting demographic. How do you explain his wins in OR, NC, MT then if he was so damaged? Look at a map. The whole north west is predomanently white. South Dakota would have been Obama's if it wasn't a closed primary as well. posted 06/05/2008 at 11:07:00
